  • Mine doesn't even like me in clothes, he says they look better on the floor which is a serious problem for me as I hate my naked self! I don't get many compliments when I put on an outfit because he'd just rather I was naked.....no joke! Doesn't help me feel good when I'm wondering if I look ok in my outfit or not
  • Not sure anything could replace tortilla chips but I quite like the Special K crisp cracker thingies. I don't really like spicy things but they do a chilli version that would probably go quite well with salsa
  • Lentil Dahl freezes well and is high in protein but also carbs
  • Could you just make some healthier versions of things you usually eat? Like....lasagne made with quorn mince, tomatoes that you season yourself (instead of a jar full of preservatives and oil)? If you're trying to eat lower carb then cottage pie could be topped with half potato/half turnip mash or carrot and swede mash It…
  • I have to have pizza in my life! I go to pizza hut every month or two and devour a big salad bowl loaded with pasta and couscous potato salad etc as well as salad. After that I have up to half of a large stuffed crust and some garlic bread. Any left over pizza goes home with me to snack on later...or have for breakfast the…
  • I have 5 little ones - 9,7,6,3 and 18 months so I feel your pain! I also suffer with depression normally which got worse after a couple of the kids were born for a year or so (last born included). Its hard work being a mum but if you can find a little bit of time to do something for yourself, even if thats getting out for…
  • Congrats on reaching your goal! I also have this problem but mine is more mental I think. I've lost a couple more pounds than I planned to because I'm pretty scared about eating my way up to maintenance as I don't want to regain the weight. I think adding calories slowly over a few weeks, giving your body time to adjust to…
  • You could just keep eating as you are until you reach a plateau. I wish I'd never bought a scale as weighing myself has become addictive and the number on the scale doesn't really mean anything. Its not a true measure of how well my diets going. Clothes fitting better and gaining a bit of muscle is, for me.
  • <~~~~ Strong and rugged all day long
  • Don't know if anyone mentioned body temp because I didn't read all the posts but I've found that if I hop on the scale just after getting out of bed then I am lighter than I am a few minutes later after I've been for a wee. My bed keeps me nice and snuggly and a higher body temperature makes you weigh in lighter. Same…
  • Ahh ok, thanks. I can get Googling now :o)
  • I'm at a good weight now but really need to lower BF and firm up. I'm interested to know what this CLX is please?
  • Fantastic! Keep up the great work!
  • Amazing! You are an inspiration!
  • Well the ladys still logging so maybe she got something out of it :o)
  • I love my ecigs. The day I got them I didn't smoke for the first 2 weeks but then I started sneaking real ones in again for some reason! I'm still trying to move over to vaping completely but I just don't seem to be motivated enough at the moment :( I'm hoping once I start working out again and start eating more to bulk,…
  • I second lifting weights. I can't really lose any more than another 5lbs now otherwise I will be on the opposite end of the unhealthy spectrum to which I started but I still don't have a flat tummy. I'm planning on doing a bit of a bulk to gain some more muscle to hopefully tighten and firm everything up. I've never…
  • Haha my 5 drive me absolutely potty but I can't imagine life without them. Actually, although they helped wrecked my body I honestly think they saved my life and gave me reason to live :o)
  • I agree that you need to find lower calorie snacks for those days when you just can't help yourself. To satisfy my sweet tooth I like things like low fat jelly, sometimes I add fruit to make it more filling, a pack of 6 low fat melba toasts with chocolate philidelphia (under 200cals), weight watchers chocolate eclairs…
  • I was always fat. Since I was a kid I've had health problems that limited my mobility and partly because of that I also developed depression and just drowned my sorrows with chocolate and booze once I hit my teens. I tried to lose weight in between babies with some success but I never managed to get below 150lbs before I…
  • My other half tells me I look anorexic and then says all I do is eat all day. Make your mind up lol.
  • Not really a naughty to snack but I love the Edamame bean salads from the chilled aisle in Tesco or Asda. They have broad beans and runner beans in them too and come with a soy, chilli and garlic dressing. I find them tasty, filling and healthy and the whole box is 189 cals, 11g carbs, 7g fat and 14 g protein. Days when…
  • The closer I got to goal the slower the weight loss became. For the first 30lbs is came off a bit every week but after that it came off every few weeks and often in chunks to make up for when I hadn't lost. I think its ok to over eat some days to keep our metabolisms guessing and personally I usually eat a few hundred cals…
  • Once its broken down it comes out through pee, poo, sweat and in carbon dioxide when we breathe
  • I remember onions really shocked me when I first started. Most recently I was shocked by the fresh dates I ate and then counted afterwards ooops
  • I try to eat well but sometimes I get the major munchies late at night so try to save some cals for then. Last night I wanted sweet stuff and I ate a small apple- very filling and helps you eat less after then as the night went on I tucked into a weight watchers chocolate eclair and 6 low fat melba toasts with a serving of…
  • Great job, looking healthy!
  • I accepted your add :o) I know how you feel, I have stretchmarks up to my ribs and also they go right down, down too(!) I hate them but I figure I'm just going to have to do the best I can to tone up and try to accept them :/ 30DS is a great way to get into exercising. When I started I found it really difficult too but by…
  • I think exercise along with a good diet will get most people there in the end. After my last baby (number 5 who was expected to be over 10lbs) my baggy stomach literally layed half way down my thighs when I sat down but now 10 months after starting to exercise it only spreads 3-4 inches. It still looks horrid as I have…
