  • Ahhh so its probably just the retained water being lost then, thanks. I'm still trying to get to grips with all the science stuff :)
  • I'm curious about this too as I can go weeks without losing weight or inches while I'm working out but then if I take a week or two off the pounds seem to fall off and so do the inches
  • Yes you should be eating more. When I started this journey I was eating 1200 cals and after a couple of months of doing just cardio for 1 hour a day I began to get sick and dizzy and had to have a break from my workout every 5 minutes as I couldn't breathe. I felt so much better when I increased the cals by a couple of…
  • . This isn't a plateau then. I'd guess that the weight you lost in the first 2 weeks was mainly water as you added cardio and better lifting and as your body has replenished its self you regained a couple of lbs and now your muscles are holding the water for repairs (I expect you would have lost without the pills). Its…
  • How long have you been doing this without seeing a change? When you begin training you will get noobie gains and hold a lot of water to repair muscles which can temporarily increase weight. Weight also comes off in chunks so there might be weeks when you lose nothing and weeks when 4lb falls off. I tend to see a drop in…
  • I'm struggling with this at the moment. I almost reached my goal weight but was not happy with my body. I decided to give up on that last lb for now and start strength training and increasing my cals a little. I've gained 1 3/4lbs in the last 2 weeks and everyday has been a mental battle to convince myself that the…
  • Your tummy is cute! Go for it!
  • Wow, wish I had your problem lol
  • I've only ever exercised at home using videos or my own routines and I'm doing just fine. Sometimes I doubt myself and wonder if I'm doing the right things or enough of them but I'm seeing results slowly.
  • I didn't look at your diary that well as I was distracted by your sodium intake being near or over your limit the last few days. You'd have to google how much salt you should have in a day as I have no idea and the amount you're having could be perfect but I do know that if you have too much then you retain water and your…

  • Thank you. I'd still love to have more children(!), but it'd be nice to be in better shape this time :o) The treatment I'm having is just called laser lipo but you have to be careful to read the procedures as they have one with a similar name where they suction out the fat afterwards and I'm not really into anything that…
  • I have had a couple of laser lipo sessions (the completely non invasive type). I lost 1/2 inch off my tummy after my first session and its really helped my baggy mummy tummy firm up a lot and I'm less embarrassed about the way it looks now. I've gained 3/4 of an inch in the last couple of weeks but I'm hoping its just…
  • I'm feeling discouraged too. In the last 2 weeks I'm gained 2lbs and 3/4 of an inch on my tummy which is my problem area anyway. I've been wondering whether I should just stop but I know I probably should give it more time and see what happens.
  • It's made a big difference and your posture looks much better too. Keep up the great work.
  • Could you practice your technique by just doing half squats and progress from there?

  • You can't change someone or do all the hard work for them you can only talk to them and guide them if they want it. I hope you mean't that his attitude to life currently was turning you off rather than his body as that would be pretty unkind. I had a bf say that he no longer found me attractive because I'd gained weight…
  • I'm in the same boat but not giving up! Just be patient and hopefully it'll slim down soon.
  • My kids seem to like to make telescopes or wet, tear and shape them before putting them on the radiator to dry.
  • I get cold more easily I worry about being kidnapped I have to buy new clothes regularly and am too small for my favourite dress (so sad about this) Hard chairs make my bum hurt Teenagers think I am also a teenager and seem convinced that my eldest son must be my little brother Guys congratulate my fella on being with…
  • I was going to open a bottle of prosecco but I decided I'd workout tonight and save that for tomorrow. I've had a sugar free Redbull and then plain old water.
  • My NSV for the week is wearing a wrap dress that I've owned for a few years now but never been able to wear. I tried it on in May and was told I was still a little too lumpy and bumpy for it but I tried it on the other day and I looked pretty smooth and felt really good in it, finally. I could do with having some of my…
  • 5'4 28/F Highest weight after last pregnancy 167 Lowest weight I got to before now 150 Current weight 117.7 Goal weight 117 :D
  • Google compound lifts as they work more than one area of the body at a time
  • I think squats with a dumbell are a good full body workout move. If you raise the dumbell above your head when you come up you can feel it working arms and core as well as your legs
  • 2 looks most slimming but I'm sure you'll have a ball whatever you wear :)
  • Bumping as I'm nearly there too and a little nervous!
  • I don't think it really matters. Exercise does curb appetite but I didn't have enough energy during the day yesterday but after a late night protein rich meal (about 10pm) I had the energy to start working out at midnight and I killed it :)
  • Body fat % will change daily as will weight and hydration. Some days up, some days down. You need to track the results for a few months and see if there is a downward trend. If you really want to maintain and build muscle to burn fat you need to eat at a small deficit and lift weights.
