Do you have the equipment to lift heavy at home? I can't lift heavy and so I just use dumbbells at home and move quite fast and do lots of different moves including weghted lunges to get my heart rate up but I'm sure you'll get plenty of answers from others who do NROLFW. What is your goal at the moment. Are you trying to…

If you eat around 250 cals above maintenance then you should gain something like 1/2 a lb a week (so I'm told, not quite managed to reach this point yet). Yes you will gain some fat during your bulk but because you will have built muscle, and more muscle burns more fat, it shouldn't be too hard to get rid of the fat when…

Haha. I have cereal with chocolate chunks in it!

I eat sweet things nearly everyday because if I cut them out completely then I would just end up binging on them. I find dark chocolate helps as I don't want to eat as much of it as milk or white, there are rice crispy type bars (not labelled as diet) that you can often buy in the biscuit aisle that are covered in…

In for ideas. I've been trying to increase my daily calorie intake but I'm finding it a struggle and some days I'm less successful at reaching my goal than others. I started at around 800 cals and have been trying to up it really slowly. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever find maintenance but six weeks in I'm now aiming for…

I'm at my goal weight but I don't have the body I want. My body fat is high and I'm very jiggly so my goal is to bulk up a bit over winter and then cut again next year 5'4 CW 111lbs Bulk to 125lbs Cut to 117lbs Thats the plan anyway but I'm seriously lacking motivation to get started again at the moment

If you measure your food then just choose a food thats been entered in grams, select 1 gram from the drop down menu and enter how many grams you ate. If you aren't measuring your food then the amounts you put in won't be very accurate and that kind of defeats the object of calorie counting. If you want to know how many…

I was rubbish at losing weight without my scale. I tried to eat healthily after my last little one was born but the lbs just kept piling on and I couldn't work out why, until I joined MFP and bought a scale. Cereal was one of the most surprising foods for me, a portion is soooo tiny! For fun I tried out a real sized…

You really need to start measuring properly so that you know what your intake is. If you were eating at a large deficit for an extended period of time then eating more should help. I was netting 800 for a good few months and have gradually upped my calories to 1350/1400 a day so far and dropped another 5 or so lbs…

I've reached the lowest weight I'd like to go to and have unintentionally been in maintenance for the last couple of months. For me, the journey is not over and I think I will always continue to set myself new fitness and health goals. Right now I'm meant to be gaining to gain muscle and recomp but I'm finding it hard to…

Cauliflower and broccoli cheese is one of my faves. I normally use a packet sauce made with milk as they are often not too bad on the calories and sprinkle a little cheese over the top. You can add bacon too! Apart from that I just try and chuck veggies into everything-currys, stirfrys etc. If I have a burger I'll have it…

Hope Ladymuscles doesn't mind me reposting her answer to where fat goes from a previous thread: "It is being chemically changed into energy. It's burned for fuel. You've seen wood broken down by fire into ashes? Well, the heat generated is the energy. The ashes are the byproduct. The byproducts of fat metabolism are…

Weight loss is not linear and often weight drops off in chunks. 3 weeks is not a plateau so just keep going and see if you've lost in another 3 weeks or so. Don't cut calories to harshly as your body needs enough fuel to function and burn fat. I find when I am working out a lot I don't lose much weight and its only when I…

I posted a photo of myself in a new outfit on Facebook the other day and was amazed at how many people (who haven't seen me for years) thought they could post opinions about my body. I felt like a minor celebrity! 'You've gone too far' 'You're wasting away' ect but there was a few nice comments too. I'm really not sure why…

Others will see it when we can't. I've lost 55lbs but I look in the mirror and see the same old me most of the time. I've dropped 5 dress sizes so I know there is a big difference. Hopefully my brain will catch up soon lol. Also, make sure you do exercises to shape your body as you lose and hopefully that'll help you…

I'm working out every other day usually, right now. I workout for about 40 minutes including warm up and stretch

I just use dumbbells and ankle weights at home and my muscles seem to coming along just fine at the moment. I don't have any bench or rack but I seem to be getting more definition and a 'V' on my back....I'm excited! lol
-
Certainly am! Will have skeleton makeup on y face and chest. Very excited as I've never been brave enough to dress as a skeleton before lol

Bumping for later as I haven't been scared by a horror flick since I was 14 boo hoo and I'd really love to scare the life out of myself this Halloween

For me it was psychological. The weight loss slowed a bit and I wondered if I'd make it but with perseverance the 10lbs came off quickly along with another 5 once I'd stopped worrying. I'm at the lower end of healthy weight for my height btw.

How cool! Well done!

Barefoot for me. I broke a bone in the side of my foot last Christmas and it swells up and hurts often. Since I ditched the trainers its been much better and I'm hoping going barefoot will make my feet stronger too

I wouldn't stay on this diet too long as eventually you'll end up lacking energy for your workouts and will fail to shape your body as you slim. This is what happened to me and now I'm trying to bulk and put on weight again while building some muscle to tone and shape as as I've ended up skinny fat at with too much skin…

Your stats sound great already but there's nothing wrong with wanting to exercise and eat healthily. Could you spend some of your own money on food like Hildy suggested or ask if you could use a portion of the family food budget for a few healthier foods you'd like. Your parents may be over weight but do they not buy fruit…

I'd have said more like 25% but I'm not expert

I find myself counting everything except smints. I'm struggling with the fact that you take so many supplements. I'd talk that over with your doc and see if its really necessary. I'd imagine that many would cost a lot of money that you could spend on good tasty food that you could enjoy eating to get those vitamins.
