If I was in this situation then I would not want the money and would rather struggle. Might sound silly but I'd feel that if I made the so called father take responsibility then I couldn't complain if he just decided to walk back into my childs life someday. I would rather have nothing to do with him and live my life poor…

Well going by your screen name it sounds like you might have already eaten too many sandwiches yourself, the damage is already done so stop worrying. Seriously though, I don't think theres anything wrong with sandwiches, all foods should be enjoyed in moderation. The only ones I don't like are those pre-packaged sandwiches…

So glad I stumbled across this thread as you are all so inspirational! Now I really am determined to get in shape and wear a bikini for the first time next summer, thanks!

I have seen photos of ladies who managed to pull up the overhang so I'm not giving up hope yet! I don't know about resistance bands and such. At the moment I can't get to the gym so I'm just using dumbbells at home and trying to get in a few compound moves to work lots of muscles at once. I find it hard to stay motivated…

Looking around the threads I think it is possible to dramatically tighten your body at any age by lifting weights and eating a good amount to fuel your body and build a bit of muscle. I certainly hope so anyway as although I'm only 28 and have slimmed down from 167lbs to 112lbs, I've also had 5 big babies in the last 10…

I used to end up feeling sick a lot, especially after ab workouts. Maybe you could try a few compound moves to strengthen your core rather than crunches and such. I agree you should keep pushing and challenging yourself but be mindful that you are trying to make yourself healthier and if you push too hard then your…

This happens to me sometimes when I've been eating really well for a while and then go out for a meal or something. I figure the temporary increase in calories just kick starts my metabolism

Good, ok, good, hmmmm chocolate......

Well done OP. Fantastic results! Isn't it true that the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn and also you burn fat for an extended period of time after working out? Could that explain the loss in inches? I hope so as I'm currently trying to find my maintenance so I can eat above and bulk but I don't really want to…

I'm 5'4 and 112lbs. I've just started fitting in an 8 although my measurements haven't really changed much lately so I think body composition plays a big role too. My waist is 26.75, hip 35.25. I fit well in most 8 bottoms I've tried but really struggle with non stretchy tops/jackets as I have big shoulders

I have no idea. Could you not phone your other half and ask him? Oh, just read you can't call him....sorry I can't be of any help

Love how in to this question some of you are!

Not jealous as such but I do wish I could succeed in getting my body to look as good as some of the bodies on here :)

You need to start by working out how much you should be eating. Many people use a TDEE calculator to get an estimate of their daily calorie needs for their weight and height and minus 10-20% depending on how much you want to lose. Fill up on good healthy foods and exercise. Resistance and strength training will help you…

I didn't believe in eating more to lose but after netting around 800 for a few months (very bad idea) I slowly upped my cals to 1400 and continued to lose weight. I think in the 2 weeks it took to increase my food intake I lost 3lbs going from 115lbs to 112lbs. Being at the lower end of a healthy weight I wasn't aiming to…

Bumping to follow your progress. I'm trying to find my maintenance cals so I can start a lean bulk.

What an awful test! Your son sounds healthy and active so I don't think you need to worry. My 9 year old is very lazy and has always been tubby because of it but he is healthy so the doctor says. He runs a bit and loves to climb but couldn't do push ups or anything like that. I've tried to get him involved in exercising…

You might be able to lose that if you go super low carb but tbh it wouldn't be fat you were losing so not really worth the hassle. Have patience and do this the right way :)

I'm 5'4 and 113lbs and although I don't get the annoying chaffing anymore, my thighs still touch at the top. I'm trying for the thigh gap but only because the rest of my legs are looking pretty good and strong but the fat left at the top looks odd and bumpy now. Keep working out and toning and you'll get rid of the chub…

I am in the same boat and really struggling with the idea of eating more. I'm at a good weight for my size but I look nothing like I'd hoped I would (still way too many wobbley bits) and my other half says I look anorexic so I decided to eat my way slowly up to maintenance and then start a lean bulk to recomp but I'm…

I feel the same. Bet this thread ends here lol

I would expect your doc would advise limiting weight gain or maintaining while pregnant. If you are very overweight they may say its safe for you to lose small amounts which would probably happen naturally if you just eat enough to nourish yourself and your baby but not more than you both need. I can't imagine any doc…

I lost a few lbs when I started upping my cals a couple of weeks ago which I also thought was strange. I haven't been eating that much but I'm up to 1400 so far after a long period of netting around 800. The weight loss seems to have slowed now so its probably nothing to worry about. I haven't been exercising either but my…

I think its fine to have 'cheat' days. Food is a part of life and should be enjoyed. Its only really going to be a problem if cheat days become everyday. Personally I try to eat healthily and within my calorie limit the majority of the time but I do have chocolate or something a bit 'naughty' nearly everyday because it…

More muscle means more fat gets burned and the fat burn lasts longer than it does if you just do cardio
-
Keep up the strength training. I use light dumbells too as I'm not allowed to lift heavy and I've found compound movements are starting to help with my tummy. Do you do your weight exercises in a circuit? I started out just doing 20 squats (or whatever exercise) and then moving onto another exercise but I've found if I do…

It has taken me 10 months to reach my goal weight. I have found this journey a real struggle mentally. I beat myself up when I don't exercise because I'm tired or just can't be bothered and I was/am obsessive about calories and macros. I started at 1200 and found I got sick so I struggled to eat a couple of hundred more a…
