Thanks for the link. These guys are funny as hell.

I was skeptical at first as well. But then I tried them. They are more pancake like than omelet.

Typo, 2 egg whites, not yolks
-
I made a typo, I meant to write 2 egg whites. I personally don't like the cholesterol or fat the yolks provide. But most of the recipes that are similar use the whole eggs. Personal preference. I made them this morning with chocolate chips because I was craving something sweet. The chips hit the spot, but protein powder…

The problem with eating meat these days is that most of our supply comes from factory farms that force their animals to eat the wrong feed, inject numerous chemicals/antibiotics, and are outright cruel to the cattle. These factors cause the meat to be fattier and not natural. Then, we as consumers, ingest these…

I have been loving chickpeas lately. A tiny bit of Olive oil heated in pan. Saute a little garlic and onion. Add a can of chickpeas with the juice. Simmer for 20 minutes or so until tender. I use a little complete seasoning on mine. Goes great with vege sausage, tilapia, or over rice. I actually just had it for dinner…

Every women able should do squats. Its a great compound lift, uses multiple muscle groups. Make sure to bring your quads parallel to the ground, you'll definitely feel it.

I agree, log everything. I even log my green tea consumption, and that doesn't even have calories. It helps give you a overall picture of your eating habits when you look back on your diary. I think I'm going to start writing in the diet notes as well, to keep track of how I felt that day on what I ate. Couldn't hurt right?

You should check out your local yoga studios. Almost all of them have beginner classes. And they might have a free, or almost free, community class that would cater to all levels of yogi's. There is something to gain from having a teacher there to help you understand the different poses, especially in the beginning of your…

please have no shame. I'm sitting here drinking my tea, reading your story. I literally have tears in my eyes right now. I could not imagine losing my sister, or brother. Especially due to incompetence. I'll motivate where I can, be strong.

I think it is. Easily changeable under goal, custom setting. I have mine set to 45% carbs, 35% protein, 20% fat. That is just me though. I'm sure more knowledgeable people could help you with your ratio. So that's a great question. What is everyone's target carb/protein/fat ratio? What is working for everyone?

I agree with this as well. EAT MORE PROTEIN! It's the building block of our muscles, the more lean muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. Also, eating more protein makes you feel full. But make sure your getting your protein from quality sources. Egg whites, fish, chicken, lean red meat, even a nice enjoyable…

I'm a fan of plant based protein powders, its easier for my stomach to digest. But whey protein probably has a better amino acid structure since it is derived from animal sources (by product of the cheese making process I believe). Don't go for the cheapest powder available, make sure to buy quality. I also don't eat meat,…

This is quote central. I love it. I am a lactose intolerant pescetarian, who owns a couple of pizzeria's. Go figure, huh. I can barely eat the food I sell. I do love food though. Actually, I'm still in the process of learning to love vegetable. Mushrooms have recently entered my diet. And I'm recently getting over the carb…

I'm new to the tracking of my diet, so as far as enough proteins, water, fats, I'm learning and working on it. I don't eat meat, so I am making some changes to cut out some of the carbs and focus a little more on the protein aspect of things.
-
Thanks, that makes absolute perfect sense.
-
If you want to try a plant based protein, PlantFusion has some pretty good stuff. Its a pea, hemp, and artichoke blend I believe.

Way to go. Stay determined, stay motivated.

I've been wanting to start some sort of cardio/plyo after my lifts. I just cant seem to find the energy. I super set and triple set all my lifts, sometimes quad set, so I suppose my workout is somewhat interval based. How do you keep your energy up?

@conraj74, nice definition in your back. Impressive.
What in the world is a "swole"? Lol.... Anybody feel free to add me
add mass, get big, you name it.

Im new to the page. I'll friend you, motivate where I can. Help you get "swole"

I usually spend about twenty minutes on the treadmill before my workouts, alternating between HIIT and longer slower paced runs. I think changing it up now and then is good for the body. After this run, my body is extremely warmed up and I feel that I get more from my lifts. As for stretching afterwards, I think most…

I stopped eating pizza. Which for me was a hard thing to do, considering I own two pizzeria's.

I have about 15 to go as well. I'm with you. Oh the holidays are going to be tough, especially with my Italian family. For some reason my mom always thinks I need one more serving.

I don't use whey protein, but a vegetarian blend derived from pea, hemp, and artichokes called PlantFusion. Its unsweetened, but blended with a little ice, soy or almond milk, a tbsn of honey, tbsn of creamy peanut butter, and a banana. It's delicious and keeps you full. I usually mix one up and drink it breakfast, or…

I suppose I am not a complete vegetarian (I still eat fish), but I cut out all beef, pork, and chicken about 2 years ago. I have lost a lot of weight, down to 180 from about 210. My issue recently is trying to maintain muscle, I really feel my lifts in the gym suffering. I am currently trying a protein powder derived from…
