I'm 5'4" and need to lose about 50lbs also. Wow I see we are not alone makes me feel so much better...

I work out 5 days a week and my days off are Thursday and Sunday but on Wednesday and saturday are my real intense days to workout, to give my muscles rest.

I drink water throughout my workout but I don't eat until after my workout and showered. But everyone is different.

I seem to maintain if I eat my exercise calories back so I try to keep it under my regular calorie that they suggest.

So far the best exercise for me with the most amount of calories used is Tae bo or Turbo Jam .

I do Turbo Jam, Ab jam and that works for me

I really feel like I get a workout from Tae Bo and Turbo Jam and to me they are both fun to do.

I weigh in weekly, because I find that if I weigh in daily it changes so, even hourly your weight will change depending on water.

I believe the best diet is eating right and getting plenty of exercise and it is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix if it is really going to work and to be something that is lasting.

I Zumba jog, walk and tae bo and I feel that I get the best workout for myself with Tae bo and burn the most calories. But that is up to every individual on what their preference is
