Lol you're kinda taking this the wrong way. I hope you have a good rest of your day regardless, though.
-
That's just what my boyfriend suggested. Hence why I came to ask for a second opinion.
-
I don't enter anything into MFP for exercise, honestly. I just exercise.
-
Meanwhile, MFP suggests 750 calories. Not even going to bother with that one, haha.
-
The FitClick website suggests 420 calories burned. :open_mouth: Does this really seem like a reasonable calorie burn? If so, sweet!
-
My boyfriend simply suggested that may be an overestimation. He suggested 200 at most for an hour work out. Maybe that's why I've been so discouraged.

I was forced off an amusement ride for the first time.

I could drink an entire 12-pack of Pepsi in one sitting if I wanted to. I would never get that extreme, but I would drink like... up to six per day. That's over my daily limit right there.
-
I'm only 20, so bit of an age difference, hahaha, but best of luck to all of you! <3
-
^^^^ That really got me out of my habits of eating things that I probably shouldn't have. But yes, if it fits into your daily intake, by all means, go ahead and have one. Just be honest with yourself.
-
Exactly. My biggest bad habit was constantly snacking. /Constantly/. That and I could never have enough Pepsi. I've straightened all that out though.

Heeey! An admin should delete this or move it to General Diet and Weight Loss. Could have sworn I was there. >o<

If this is still being answered... for me, it was difficult because of my eating habits before I started counting. When I started counting I felt like I didn't eat nearly as much as I should have because I couldn't go over my intake. I believe the same could be said for those who don't eat nearly enough and start counting…

That's exactly what my dad said. I just personally don't like doing it, even with understanding that your weight fluctuates. And good luck with the remainder of your weight loss / maintaining! And great job!

Thank you, Llamapants86. Yes (technically), there's more than two data points. I never really saw 257, 256, 255, or 254. I just started watching what I ate without really thinking about the scale up until this week. This week, I weighed myself every day. Bad habit, I understand, but every day, the scale said 253. Thanks…

I will most definitely start a work out regimen once I'm a bit smaller but I'm currently doing IIFYM, and it works for me.

I drink tea. But honestly, I had this same problem. I would drink four to five sodas a day. You don't have to cut back entirely, have a soda in moderation.
-
Really, I've just been eating under my calorie deficit. I've lost 15 pounds so far. THAT'S what works for me. I'm going to lose a few more pounds before I start getting on a work out regimen as well.
-
In my personal opinion; Healthy eating isn't expensive. Healthy as in, buying stuff that fits into your calorie deficit every day. CLEAN eating on the other hand, buying nothing but fresh, can get a bit spendy.
-
Fast Food to me is addicting. Before my health kick every time I drove passed a McDonalds, or Burger King, I would always consider stopping to get something. No matter what time of day. Now it's second hand nature not to slow down and have to think about it, I just don't do it. Now, if I'm out with friends, and we decide…

It's one thing to ask family not to buy certain foods for around the house. I ask my mom not to get anything but fruit for snacks. Thankfully, both of my parents are more than supportive of my current lifestyle changes, and are actually joining me on my quest. It's another, though, to ask someone NOT to eat a certain food…

And this is why I learned how to make cake at a young age.

Go with a classic Coca-Cola or Pepsi. (I'm a Pepsi fan but there's this habit of people gasping and yelling at me when I say that)

Calories, and maybe sodium if I eat something I know is high in it.

Every time you crave a soda, or any type of sugary drink, drink water. After a while when your body has those cravings, you'll want water instead.

How so? If I don't want to eat back the calories burnt by exercise, it's a lot easier for me personally to do that if I exercise late at night. It's just a mental state that I'm trying to put myself into.
-
This. It's recommended that you eat six times a day, three being your 'large meals' and the rest being snack times. That should be plenty enough to reach your daily calorie goal.
-
If you don't eat enough (what the website suggests) your body will store the nutrients you're not getting by eating that low of a calorie intake, and therefore, you WON'T lose weight. On top of that, in the long haul you'll start to feel like crap. Sorry, but you're the one who posted a public post asking for people's…
