Thanks for the support :) I'm glad you understood what I was getting at. Also in relation to your second post, have you read "The Omnivores Dilemma" by Pollen? Its my current read and it is excellent!

It wasn't my intention to be rude, and yes the "should"s may have been excessive. my point was that I don't tell people what they 'should' do - except for this rant. Thats kinda the joy of a rant is to get something off your chest. And I want to add that I *truely* do not judge anyone for the way they eat. I'm a firm…

AMAZING!!! so close you can touch it! great job!

Yeah that totally sucks and leaves people with no option! I guess I'm sheltered from the fact that there are communities out their who don't have the land or climate able to support farms.

Haha point taken...

I already mentioned that I don't actually tell people to eat this way. I didn't say people have to eat this way, it doesn't fit everyones life, is not available to everyone and not affordable to everyone, but maybe we would be better off if we did?

Totally normal. Try eating slower, taking smaller bites and chewing more. It may help to reduce the gas :)

If the above suggestions don't work for you there might be one other option This is not always a recommendation of mine, BUT, have you looked into intermittent fasting? aka the 5:2 diet.. many people on here have seen results. The only reason I am thinking of this is because you are clearly working VERY hard to remain at a…

mmm if you can afford it, make your own! - this makes it way easier to drink on its own :) http://minimalistbaker.com/super-thick-diy-chocolate-almond-milk/ http://eatplaylovemore.com/2013/05/30/make-your-own-strawberry-chocolate-or-vanilla-almond-milk/ ETA: Chia seed pudding as seen below is also great :)

Thanks for the motivation! What an amazing success :)

I tend to agree with this one. So many trainers these days think they know best.. but I find its a bit iffy. BUT to answer your question - steak or salmon is the way to go. Protein and Fat = yum! Shrimp and chicken are good too but they might take longer to get to 500 cals

Is there a particular reason your asking? If its working for you thats good, if its not - change things up. Just a couple thoughts though... Feel free to completely ignore me.. but: - As far as I know water does not have to be ice cold, why not just make lemon water and get rid of the vinegar? - If it were me I would…

WOW!! that is just amazing!

Eat it !!! Bread is not the enemy

Personally I don't think going into keto is a good idea. But hey thats just me and I'm sure some would disagree. Do what is sustainable for you. In my experience I absolutely LOVE bread I would take it over chocolate in a split second, so low carb for me is not sustainable - therefore I eat carbs! Go with your gut - but…

1 - try swimming? 2 - its really just the luck of the draw some people experience it some people don't it just depends on your skin and the way the fat is distributed in the body. I know you said you were almost more worried about the loose skin than being over weight but think of it like this: you can at least hide loose…

Wow! what a transformation. That is pretty freaking great!

If you feel like tracking contributes to this compulsive side of you, it might be a good idea to try taking a break from MFP for maybe a couple weeks or a months - track your weight once a week and see how you do. If you're happy with that progress than maybe you don't need MFP? You can always come back to us if winging it…

Thats great, good for you :) you might also want to consider taking pictures! I took before pictures and then shamefully deleted them when someone saw them on my phone... I wish I still had them!

- Breakfast on the go : Grab piece of fruit, grab individual yogurt, handful of whole grain crackers - homemade muesli with milk and fruit (see google for recipes) - breakfast burritos (see google for recipes) - baked eggs (see google for recipes) - smoothies I'm also a huge fan of eating lunch foods for breakfast or…

holy shiza! Thats quite amazing! great job!!! if you don't mind me asking, do you still struggle with social anxiety or is it something you don't deal with much any more?
-
Honestly? Up your calories and fit in foods you like. In order to reduce the binging you gotta reduce the restricting. Work on removing the guilt and shame around eating and the binging *should* take care of itself IMO
-
no small victory!! what an amazing bonus to your lifestyle change!! congrats :)
-
Thanks everyone! I think I will just eat if I actually feel hungry and just make sure I'm not eating out of habit or stress. I think the key is to log it even if I think I went way over - just helps to keep things in perspective
-
amazing!

Great job!!! the great thing about the mini goals is that one day you'll wake up and realize a bunch of mini goals add up to significant change! good for you :)

What a great post!! I think this is the way to do it. there is no such thing as the perfect diet, you have to take baby steps and do what works for you to make it long lasting. Good luck!
