  • @liljroe8888 The hardest part is starting and you’ve already done that. 👍 MFP tells you what calories you need to be eating to lose weight and any activity you can manage is a bonus. I like walking more than anything else but there’s so many exercises to choose from including free internet classes (some are seated workouts…
  • @PotatoHead_ I’d love to join too. So many re-boots, one has to work and why not this one!
  • I’ve noticed a few one liners you’ve posted which haven’t received much attention. The one that did (about stamina) you didn’t go back and comment on the advice people had offered or try to make a connection with them, which is how “friends” are usually made. It might be a good idea to tell the reader a little about…
  • SW. 174 CW. 171. -1lb this week GW. 133-140
  • I meant to say well done on keeping things up. I’ll have to look up Steezy as I’ve never heard of it.
  • @Steph_135 Me too. I must have tried more different types of exercise classes (online, video, face to face, etc) than I’ve had hot dinners! I enjoy most of them when I start out but get bored very easily and find excuses not to bother. I’m off this week so have been back out on my bike. I cycled for 30 minutes straight…
  • Its so hard finding something you actually want to do but when you do it’s brilliant. Well done and keep up the good work. I saw someone mention an exercise plan and looked it up. The model is my son’s age! Anyway I had a bash of one of her 15 minute dance classes which was good fun as well as hard work. She doesn’t…
  • I’d love to join. I’m Lori, started working from home during lockdown and regained 7lbs of the 14 I’d lost before it. 🙄 I’m feeling quite motivated but love reading other people’s stories of success to spur me on. I started back last week and lost 2lb. SW. 174 CW. 172 Mini goal back in the 160s by mid-June GW 133-140
  • Monday weigh in SW 174 CW 172 GW 133-140
  • OMG 😮 my new “cycling shorts” are actually cycling knickers - I clearly didn’t read the label properly. The neighbourhood will be just as pleased as I am that I wore them under leggings. Can you imagine? I’d never live it down.
  • @fourathomej I’m so done too. I’d lost 14 lb in the months leading up to the pandemic and seemed to be in the zone as it were. I have put half back on in just a few weeks. Good luck, sounds like we all know what to do but putting it into practice consistently is a struggle. 😫

  • I’m in the UK and it seems a few of the items mentioned aren’t readily available here but next time I’m in the “world aisle” I’ll try something new!
  • @Steph_135 Fortunately I don’t suffer long term back pain but I think I was sitting too long instead of getting up and stretching like I might have done in the office. That’ll teach me! I know losing weight will help with my more general aches and pains.
  • I’ve never heard of some of those mentioned. A good job google is my friend! 🤣 I don’t think I’ll be managing anything new this week as the “big shop” has already been done and with lockdown I’m avoiding the shops as much as possible.
  • I had a thumping headache and back pain yesterday so my day did not go as planned. I did a walk first thing (about 3,000 steps) but negated that by turning to sugary snacks later. 😡 Back to it today.👍
  • @fourathomej I haven’t organised the challenge but I’m pretty sure more the merrier. Welcome.

  • Feeling quite proud of myself today. Been into the city (60 minutes walk there and back) followed by a bike ride (30 minutes). I’m kicking myself I didn’t buy cycle shorts sooner. They’re not the most flattering items in my wardrobe but what a difference! 👍. I’ve had a female gel cycle seat for years but I found it so…
  • @steph_135 The dreaded wardrobe clearance. I haven’t looked in at least one wardrobe for months as I’m frightened to see what I can’t fit into. @Zella132 Fantastic work. Well done on all that hard work. I did get out for a short bike ride (taking it easy on a first outing) and plan to go again tomorrow. I’m right by a…
  • Well I have started well with my activity. Completed 10,000 steps and 10 minutes of cardio indoors. I’ve also bought some cycling shorts (for under my clothes as no one needs to see that!) and will be out for a bike ride tomorrow. 🤞
  • SW 174 (up from last week 😫) CW 174 GW 133-140
  • @Steph_135 I’ll have to have a look at Megsquats - sounds interesting. I did have a barbell and quite a few weights but my other half sold them when I’d stopped using them (a dreadful habit of mine!). I never managed to get a bench but would have been tempted if I’d had the room. If I’d lost the pounds as well as the £s…
  • @Steph_135 You sound like me. We’ll have to keep each other enthused as time passes. I’ve tried lots of different exercises and done well on them I just never stick at them after a few months. One thing I can’t stop is walking (even during a pandemic) but it’s the number of steps I achieve each day I need to improve and…
  • Hi everyone, I’m Lori. I’ve been on and off MFP for 8 years but it’s been nearly 20 years since I was last at goal weight. I’d been doing quite well earlier this year and had lost 14 lbs but since lockdown and working from home I have regained half of that. I’ve missed the hour’s walk to work and back and been baking! My…

  • Newbie to the group. Been on and off MFP for far too long. I have hit my highest ever weight so it’s time to be serious.
  • @craigmandu @pierinifitness @lleeann2001 Me too. I think the later I start eating the more mindful I am about what I eat later. I don’t understand the science around diets (I’ve tried most of them and they do work when I stick to them!) but I do have more success with eating between 12 noon and around 6.30 pm. Good luck to…
  • Only eating between 7am and 7 pm is pretty much what most people did before snacking became so popular (three square meals a day of breakfast, lunch and dinner). IF per se aims to reduce the hours in which you eat and anticipates that if you have less time to eat then your calorie intake will be lower. Any diet that puts…
  • I haven’t specifically tried exercising at the end of a fast but I get half my day’s walk in before I eat most days. I’m sure there’ll be lots of workouts that you’ll be able to do (if you want to) with a Pahla B. She seems to cater for almost everyone. Let me know how you get on.
  • Pahla B is an exercise instructor with her own website with hundreds of free at home workouts. Lots are non-jumping, which I need but there is a variety of levels from beginner to advanced (some are even seated). If you google her she should come up. She has a Facebook page called “the killer beehive”. I have 40lbs to lose…
  • Hi there I have a little less to lose but have been intermittent fasting for a while. When I stick within my calorie goals it’s a useful tool for me but I have a habit of craving snacks in the evening so I’m trying my best to curb that. I’m aiming for a 45 minute walk and a 15-30 minute home workout. I’m liking Pahla B at…
  • Pahla B does seated cardio exercises (along with a whole host of others) starting from just 10 minutes. Worth a look to see if they may help.
