Bump for more ideas but this is what I do: I use Hunts' tomato sauce "No salt added" S&W ready cut tomatoes "No salt added" Lawry's Spaghetti Sauce spices & seasoning - there is a bunch of salt in the pkg so I use just enough to season. Fresh onions and garlic if you like them. I also add ground lean beef or turkey burger.

If you want it bad enough you WILL learn to change what you are doing and start doing the things that will take the weight off. True at 35 ~ 45 ~ 55!

I'm 55 and have "dieted" all my life it seems... been there done that. I have lost 28.6 pounds eating healthy food to fuel my body. Working out 5-6 times a week to build muscle and tone. I started in March right after I turned 55 and sprained my ankle 6 weeks ago (this slowed me down but I continued to loose). If I can do…

Looking GOOD! Blonds have more fun :))

Egg plant or most any squash will work as well. I also add a fresh spinach layer to mine, adds more veggies. I wish they would make a lower sodium sauce though. Thanks for sharing.

I like to sprinkle cinnamon on mine and I use soy or almond milk :)

I'm not serious, well not all the time, but I am supportive :))

I injured my ankle five weeks ago. I have been able to stick to my daily goal for the most part and have continued to loose just a bit slower. I worked out some on the exercise ball watching workout videos with small weights just moving my arms..... got a bit boring but it works. I can now ride a bike or workout on a…

You are never too old to get into shape! I started walking, just walking. Started out 30 minutes a day. I then got an app for my phone called lolo beatburn. My walks got longer ad faster and by June I was walking an hour and burning a ton of calories. Unfortunately I sprained my ankle on the first day of summer and am…

A dog limps into a bar, sits on the bar stool and says to the bartender "I'm look'en for the guy who shot my paw!"   Laughter IS the best medicine!!!!!

Freshly ground peanuts- no salt- no nothing- just peanuts. Oatmeal or steel cut oats.

If I go to a freshly cleaned toilet (where you can still see the bubbles or purple cleaner in there) I will flush the toilet 5 times. I have a fear of my pee and chemicals mixing and then exploding while I'm sitting there. [/quote] This made me spit water!!!!

Great idea! I thought MFP should have some way to give away clothes you have under grown :))

Not hokey at all. Funny how life gives you what you are looking for even when you didn't know you were in need. All you have to do is be willing to accept it. Congratulations!

The cal count is for the dry oats.... not after they plump up :) So, divide the cooked oats into 4 servings = 150 calories per serving.

Too funny! Thanks for the warning

I'm right there with you minus the cast. I sprained ankle or more accurately, fracturing my fibula, a small piece of bone gave way when I twisted it simultaneously tearing the ligaments. I'm in a brace. I plan to use my fitness ball and small weights to do some cardio workouts using my upper body and add strength training…

I have had "thunder thighs" my whole life. I started walking and then walk/jogging up and down hills and on flat surfaces. Added to that some strength training twice a week and have lost inches from my thighs! Feed your body healthy fuel, exert energy to burn calories and tone/build muscle to boost your burn. Good luck!

A week is too soon to get concerned about stuck. lots of things may be effecting your scale loss. Concentrate on the positive differences you are seeing and don't fixate on what the scale says. Next week you will probably see a drop. Good luck.

I agree, you need a hug! First off I would have to say quit beating yourself up! Second I would say nicotine is an addicting drug and it takes great strength and willpower to break free of it. Step back, take a breather and ask yourself some hard questions. Why did you start again? Do you really want to quit? If so, you…

Me too, but you look SENSATIONAL! WTG!

Believe me I have tried them all over the years and with my age comes this wisdom: There is NO magic pill! There is NO shortcut! Do yourself a favor and save your money for a good HRM or gym membership. Eating healthy food to fuel your body and working out to build muscle and burn fat may be slow but it is a lifestyle…
