I was diagnosed with Graves/Hyperthyroidism approx 5 years ago and I had no clue I had it. One morning I woke up and my eyes were hurting. It felt like there was these huge sacks of fluid behind my eyes and just touching them was painful. Not knowing what was happening I made an appointment to the eye doctor. He told me to…

Making healthy choices, logging food, cut out sodas and sugary drinks (they add up quick) and move your body! Right now I am working out 5 days a week. I am fortunate to have a gym where I work so I utilize it during my hour lunch break. First 10-15 minutes I’m doing some for of intense cardio: jogging/running intervals,…

Are you exercising at least 30 mins a day? Do you have access to a pool or a gym? Walking certainly is a great start but you need to push yourself. Having gone from Hyper to Hyper I know all about the weight stuggles and even with my current exercise routine I feel like it takes me a heck fo a lot longer to lose weight but…

Not sure what advise I can really give - but stay positive and open minded. I had a Total Thyroidectomy Christmas Eve last year (2013) and didn't start really getting into exercise until about 6 weeks ago. I joined a local gym and work out 4-5 times a week. My routine is 15 minutes cardio (treadmill with intense jogging…

How can you really prove that anyways? I know in Florida the rules are a little different and can be fired for no reason at all.

I appreciate your honesty and I can agree with you on that. My overweight stature has hindered me from doing a lot and I certainly see that reflected in my life now.

I work in the yachting industry and the current hiring trend for Concierge/Marketing Team has been slender, attractive people yet they lack the brains. For the marketing director to ask me today if he could use my results as a base really put everything into perspective. He knows my desire to work with him - and agrees…

Definitely dig the dress and you certainly fill it nicely. Congrats on the loss - keep it up sistah!!!

Was just having the same thought. Our friends keep asking us to sign up for the Spring adult kickball league and last year when I joined all they do is drink, play, and then drink more at a bar when the games are over! This goes one every week for 7 weeks. I'm having such a hard time deciding on whether or not I join. I…

I purchased that same set about 2 weeks ago. I don't know for sure either, but when im done I just log it under 'tae bo" through cardio section on MFP. The intensity is pretty dang high and im sweating/breathing heavy the entire time, so I know Im doing something right. Hopefully someone will have a more accurate way to…

Skinny Cow!!! The ice-cream sandwich is only 150 calories and the new one we bought (chocolate truffle bar) is only 100 calories. Hits the spot when you're looking for that sweet fix.

All time fav's! But I only eat in once in a while now because I will devour the entire ball of mozzarella. Still working on that thing called 'self control'. Great pic's thanks for sharing!

You nailed it. This really hit my heart.

You had me at Chocolate - and I really dig the 'bringing it to work to snack on' idea. This is so going on my shopping list!

Please include me in this group - love it!!

BRILLIANT!!!

I see what you're saying but whenever I'm in doubt I always add it. I'd rather add more than what I actually had than less. But that's just me.

Thank you all for the replies! The consensus on good runnign shoes really is making sense. I got a pair of Nikes a while back for work and have been using those when I get home to walk. I've been super eager with getting in shape that I foget to let my body catch up. I can't just go full blast into this. Thank you all very…

I find that buying fresh fruits/veggies is actually CHEAPER than buying processed foods. Once a week we stock up on the fresh stuff at a local 'green market' and then just buy a little protein (chicken, lean pork) from the grocery store. Never realized how much we spent on junk - mac n cheese, hot dogs, bags of chips, cans…

That drive, it's in you. A true inspiration!!!

Haha - I can completely relate to this post! My bf and I have been together 5+ years and when we first met I was at 150 lbs. Since my bf loves to cook he would always come up with the most delicious (but terrible for you) meals. Butter, Sauce and toppings were always present - but boy was it delicious. I can't blame him…

Gotta love that feeling! I'm hoping to have the same results - just joined and loving every bit.
