Mine is a number. I am very mathematical though and really doing the math is how I stay motivated. I calculate my rate of loss and what I am doing. I quite enjoy it and the challenge of getting the rate to where I want it.

Generally, people who can't lose weight counting calories are underestimating what they eat or overestimating what they exercise. I know people around here hate to hear it but it's true. If she wants recipes she does. If they are lactose intolerant we can't recommend anything with butter or fresh cream. If they can't have a lot of sodium we need to consider that. If they are allergic to wheat that takes a lot of food off the list. Why not try thinking for a moment.

I decided to use MFP but, knowing they way overestimate, I only eat back at most 70% of the calories burned and only if I really feel I need to.

Don't tell other people what to do. People will eat however they want. You assume a lot about people.

If you are getting calf cramps at night eat a banana each day. I had that problem until I upped my potassium.

Sounds odd but I am about 80 lbs overweight. Cannot run. I jump rope. I started out with 30 second bursts and now I can go for a good minute or two of really hard jump roping, rest for 30 seconds and start again. It's easier on my knees and just less painful overall. Sounds odd, but

Double checked, I am almost your weight and even if I put 60 minutes of "Fast vigorous" swimming it only gives me 700 and I know that number is probably wrong.

I highly doubt unless you are swimming at Olympic levels, you are not burning that many calories. Same with the running. These numbers are really, really wrong and I have no idea where you are getting them.

I don't have any time in the morning. I get up and go immediately to work and then I am at work all day. I come home exercise and whatever else I do. I can't wake up earlier because mornings seriously make me want to kill myself.

Can't afford to. First appointments with local doctors cost about 200 - 250 dollars. No free clinics within 30 miles (Or in my county and a lot outside my county won't take those out of county). Next?

I am not looking to build muscle so much as burn calories and not get too awful squishy. Truth is, I need something to do between jump rope sets. I want to be skinny and a bit soft but not squishy.
