"I think the point Coca Cola need to be making is that any brand of cola would have done the same, not just theirs," agreed. But that's not Coca-Cola's position. They're saying-- the ridiculous volume of coca-cola she ingested didn't cause her death. Meaning-- whether she drank that much Coca-Cola or not, she still would…

Coca-Cola is arguing that soda consumption didn't cause her death. It's not a debate about personal responsibility or freedom of choice. They're saying-- "Yeah, she chose this, fine. But even if she did, that choice didn't cause her to die."

You gotta love Coca-Cola's response...

Apparently, if you're an overweight executive, people think less of you. So, presumably, fit executives are regarded more highly. From a recent Wall Street Journal article: New research suggests that a few extra pounds or a slightly larger waistline affects an executive's perceived leadership ability as well as stamina on…

as a former rower, it's hard for me to get on a C2 without having flash backs to erg tests and spending way too much time on one of those things, but it's an awesome piece of equipment. One word to the wise: When not in use, leave the handle by the fly-wheel, NOT in the little resting spot. If you do, over time, it will…

yeah-- I've done that too-- I would buy a bag of frozen Asian stir-fry veggies. It's all good. The combo of the red cabbage and the paprika and sriracha is really good. I've been using chopped cabbage in place of a starch (rice or noodles) for stir fries.

I've got both kinds of straps. (I thought I lost the old one, bought the new one to replace it, and then found the old one.) I prefer the old one.

I too have the 305 and love it, although I wish the gps signal picked up a little quicker when I'm in a new location (I travel a lot). DC Rainmaker has really thorough reviews and comparisons here: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2010/12/garmin-forerunner-210-in-depth-review.html

From http://www.fakefoodwatch.com/2012/05/raspberry-ketones-another-industrial.html : The claims: "Japanese researchers reported in 2005 that raspberry ketone 'prevents and improves obesity and fatty liver,' by boosting the breakup of fat cells." (ABC News) "Korean researchers reported in 2010 that raspberry ketone…

From WebMD: "The [Sensa] company's weight loss evidence is based on a few company-sponsored studies done by Hirsch. These studies have not been published in a peer-reviewed medical journal. The lack of published scientific evidence on Sensa, along with a lack of diet and fitness guidelines to accompany the product, raise a…

The media likes to sell things, and guys like Dr. Oz get paid to endorse stuff. So, they are incentivized to over-state research findings too. This happens all the time with all kinds of products. Research finds more limited effects, and these effects become over-blown by the media or celebrities with paid endorsements.…
