I just started using Irvingia Gabonensis which I saw on Dr. Oz as a supplement you should have to help your diet. I bought it at the vitamin shoppe because GNC didn't have it in the store but they do have it online.

Welcome! I think you will find that it's not just going on a diet but changing your lifestyle on here. The tools here help you figure out what you need to do to lose the weight and then maintain it. The support from others is amazing!

I have not seen this one yet....I'm going to play it after the news. Have you seen Heavy on A&E? Now that show documents what hard work can do!

I agree. While I want to lose weight I don't want to give up on regular eating forever. I don't freak out when I'm over because there are plenty of times I'm under and I figure it evens out. Once I hit my goal weight I will keep tracking to maintain but I will allow myself to indulge here and there. It's a lifestyle…

I would just to keep track but I wouldn't log it. It's a good way to see how much of it is bloating versus your actual weight.

They do freeze well! I made 24 total and froze them in an air tight container and then pulled some out the night before I wanted to eat them to let them thaw and they were just as good as when they were fresh! I too changed it up a bit for my own liking and it ended up being 110 calories per serving.
-
It's a lifestyle change and it can't happen overnight. You're doing great by slowly cutting things out!

I found that after I started eating better and got better sleep I suddenly had the energy and drive to play my wii games and then the next thing I knew I was at the gym! Baby steps!!!
-
I agree, unless you're hungry let it go, but don't make it a habit.

I have 2, one on each arm. I wanted them somewhere that I could cover up when I need to but could still see them easily. I want another one on top of my foot.

I would payoff mortgages for my close friends and family members. I would donate my time and money to Cancer research and the Humane Society.

Don't down play your goal, that's a lot to lose in just 4 months. I'm looking to lose 50 by July. Good luck to you!!! :glasses:

I eat my calories as well and I'm actually finding more energy with each work out. I think people are too consumed with eating less on top of working out more and hurting themselves. :frown:
-
Congrats on your loss so far! I just requested your friendship! :flowerforyou:
-
I have my favorite pair of jeans hanging up to inspire me!
-
Sure thing! Welcome and good luck to you!
-
Welcome! I feel the same as you, I'm the heaviest I've ever been and I had been too tired to do anything. But I joined this site and got back to the gym and I have been eating better, sleeping better, and feeling better! It's such a great feeling! Good luck to you!

Check out hungry-girl.com, they have recipes to alter food so that it's healthier to enjoy. Maybe you can prepare that for you and if he doesn't want it he can go for the regular food?

You gotta look at it like this. MFP tells me I can eat 1200 calories a day to lose 2lbs a week. That's with no exercise. I go to the gym everyday and I burn on average 700 calories. If I don't eat up those extra calories my body is only getting 500 calories a day and then I won't see any results because my body is starving…
-
Welcome! I was really upset when I saw that I too have reached my heaviest and felt like crap all the time. Since I've joined this site I have been to the gym everyday and been really good with eating smaller and healthier meals. I think it's all the wonderful support that we have on here. Congrats on the huge loss you've…

I heard something about using soda, is that in place of the milk?
-
I follow my HRM because it's on my body and it tracks my heart rate obviously. The more intensely you play the higher your heart rate is and then you burn more calories.
-
Awesome! Don't lose that spirit!!!

If they have their menu online check it out and look at the nutrional value so you know what you can eat and how much.

Hello! You'll find it's easy to eat the better food if you really want to lose the weight. I didn't find grain bread appealing until I realized I needed something to fill my belly to avoid snacking all day.

:frown: I didn't see your introduction! Welcome!

Dumb question....boil in water and dressing or just the dressing? :embarassed:
-
Hmmm.....so what is it supposed to do? I mean if we work out and eat right we lose weight....does it help you lose more faster?

I eat kashi granola bars and nu go bars. They are filling and delicious. Also I make a little fruit bowl of bananas, apples, and grapes because those are my favorite fruits and that's pretty filling.
