I do have the shred dvd which I have been avoiding because Jillian tried to kill me the first time I tried. Perhaps I'll start doing more at home for a few weeks and see how it goes and if it goes well cancel my membership. Thanks for all the advice, sounds like everyone works out at home and is seeing great results! Plus…

Yup! I do the elliptical everyday for 60 mins and I do intervals and I burn a lot! I follow that with some strength traing as well. But I gotta say when I have the resistance high and I start pushing to go faster I can feel my lower abs getting worked. It's awesome.

I agree with most everyone else. You should be eating more other wise you are starving your body and slowing your metabolism. Eat foods with more fiber and protein to help keep you full and fuel your muscle. And exercise will help, just start off slow until you get used to it. Also make sure to eat back exercise calories…

I personally always go with my HRM whether it's higher or lower than what the machine or MFP says. Because MFP doesn't track your heart rate, it's just a general or average they use for your height and weight.

Funny you should ask, I was at the doctor friday and asked the same thing and she said no. Unless you are going number two way too much then you should cut back.

I agree. When people are negative it brings me down. I'm glad all of my MFP friends are so awesome and supportive. :flowerforyou:

I've not tried the oatmeal but I have tried other products and love all I have tried. I have the toasted berry crunch and honey sunshine cereals, pumpkin flaxseed bars, cherry chocolate bars, and the turtle rolls. I'm going to get the pizza this weekend to try.

I do the same exact thing! Although now I do have shoes that are looser on my feet and it's not as bad.

I love it! Start out slow though. I started out doing 20 mins on manual on a low level. Each day I worked my way up to a higher level. If your heart is beating too fast just slow down. You want to get it pumping but not to the point where you are feeling unwell. I hope that helps. But if you just don't like it, find your…

The guy who lifts his cheek and lets it rip right next to you. Ugh And there is a mullet man at my gym who HOGS machines! He puts his sweat towel on them and wanders around so no one else will use it. :grumble:

This issue will never go away I swear. But....if you only consume 1200 calories a day and burn say even 300 working out you are only feeding your body 900 calories a day and that will cause your metabolism to slow because your body goes into starvation mode. But if you eat those extra 300 then you're back at 1200 total…

Protein shake or bar after your workout to help re-energize your muscles. Then you acn get in those extra calories too

I've lost 15 lbs and haven't dropped any pant sizes yet, but my pants are getting baggy now. I have gone from XL to L in shirts!

Exactly.

I just moved up to lightly active. My job will be at a desk so I won't become more active, but even at home I tend to walk around a lot, walk up and down the stairs to the basement at least twice a day, take the dogs out, pick up their poop, laundry, dishes, housework....stuff like that. Basically, I sit around a lot less…

Me too! That's why I decided to wait until I have more energy from working out at the gym. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who felt like a cripple!

I have seen a lot of people doing it and doing well with it. I however could not cut it. I'm going to try again when I'm in better shape. :ohwell:

I leave mine at home.

I agree 100% I suffered from insomnia and finally got off sleeping pills in Dec. When you have a hard time getting sleep you want as much as you can get but I want to be healthier too so I get up early because it's important to me. And now it's even easier to fall asleep since I'm on a set schedule. No matter how tired I…

I read a book when I was on the treadmill but I think it's the only machine I could do and read. I can't run so I walk very fast and holding a book is easy. :glasses:

I just had to up my calorie intake the other day, my metabolism has changed with all my exercise and I was not getting enough food!
-
I never had that problem but I recently switched to Jiff all natural

I always do because when you start this program and enter your goals you are given a specific amount of calories to consume based on no additional exercise. If you say you're lightly active or very active it accounts for that when you are given your daily goal. When you work out you need to eat those back or you will…
