Does your Fitbit match your 1 pound weight loss with a 3,500, 24 hour, calorie deficit over an extended period?

Great response PAV8888! I've only recorded my latest weight loss attempt since January 1 of this year. I use fitbit and grams for my data. My caloric expenditure was overestimated by .06% during January. And now, from February 1 through 11 it has been overestimated by .67%. Incidentally, i was in calorie deficit and lost…

How many meals do you eat each day? Do you have snacks in between meals?

How much did you loose the first 2 weeks?

No one in this forum seems to distinguish between net and gross calorie burn. If your device says you have burned 400 calories during an hour of time, aprox 80 of those would have been achieved sitting on you *kitten*. these 80 calories have already been accounted for in your activity selection in MFP.

xgxdxbx: I figured it takes a 3500 deficit to loose a pound.Your 600 daily deficit for 300 days equals 180,000 calories. Divided by 3500 equals 51 pounds. You obviously had a greater daily loss starting your regime than later on. I was just playing around with the numbers. I'm a yoyo dieter. I started my last attempt last…

I assume you are calculating total out minus total in during a 24 hour day. My calculations say that this should result in a max…

Those that enter gross calories instead of net are only fooling them selves. They enter their activity level and then add part of it back into their exercise calories and wonder why they are not losing/

I drink water, but.....It's hard for me to believe that a pinch or two of crystal light will contaminate the beverage.

I have a major problem in this regard. I eat about 500 -600 calories prior to about 8pm. Then I go bonkers and eat and drink up all my exercise calories and more before I go to bed. This is usually around 1400 to 2400 calories. Needless to say I have been on a plateau. I would love to be able to have your willpower. What…
