I remembered reading that our cravings mean something... That we are deficient in a vitamin or mineral. For chocolate it's magnesium. I just googled it and pasted it below. Maybe try adding magnesium rich foods to your diet? And switch to dark chocolate, or I like to make homemade chocolate frozen yogurt with Truvia.…

I'm two weeks away from finishing my round of insanity. I have a relatively small chest, 34-C... and before I started my chest and stomach stuck out the same if you looked at me from the side. Now I have a chest again :)

The gas station I filled my truck up at today is beside a McDonalds... I could smell the chicken nuggets... It smelled soooooo good. I'd totally do the nuggets instead of the cardboard burger.

I'll make meringue cookies with stevia... I usually make 4 egg whites worth, if I eat the whole batch I am guilt free because I've eaten a whole 60 calories and 7 grams of protein.

I love the nike fit shorts, capris and pants. They hold me in good! And will fit tight on me whether I'm a size 8 or a size 2 in jeans. A size small worked for me going from 140 all the way down to 112 (I'm 5'0"). I've had my oldest pair for about 5 years now.

Been through this... Ugh... It's tough. But it's natural to gain some weight back after quitting, even if you are not eating more. But... Since you are having food cravings... Drink water, tons of it. Have that water bottle in your hand 24/7. Take a stress B-Complex vitamin. Workout harder with those lungs that can breath…

My hips pop when I do any movement where I am on my back and moving my legs. I adjust the angle of my hips until it stops. Usually it stops when I tilt my pelvis up a bit? Hard to explain but play around with it. And I don't bring my legs out as far. My knees pop and click too, so when I'm doing high intensity workouts I…

The suggested ratios are 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats. Are you aiming to reach these percentages? If people don't see results in their stamina and muscle composition it's because they are not working to their full potential during the workouts. However lots of women don't lose weight on the program, because they are…

Based on your weight... I would suggest you follow the nutrition guide (at least loosely) as you don't have any weight to lose. You want to make sure you are getting enough calories to fuel the workouts. Your BMI is quite low. If you don't follow the nutrition guide at least follow the calories recommended for you and the…

I buy my husband Oreos, ice cream, chips, etc... But I never give in except for my scheduled cheat days. I agree it's super tough when others around you are eating whatever... But you are doing this for you... Not them.

Weight loss is long term right... So you have to look at this long term. Maybe the next year without a single treat is a little too much for any sane person to handle? Schedule a small treat day once a week, you can even do an extra workout if you want to make yourself work for it. And enjoy your treat and don't feel…

I would dive in... Try a bit of all my favorites... No second helpings though! Then consider tomorrow a new day. Eat slowly and savor it like it's your last meal. Drink lots of water the next day.

We have similar body shapes. I'm 27" waist, 38" hips and 22" thighs. My go to brand for inexpensive jeans is american eagle... I buy 1 style of their boot cut jeans and buy them in all different washes... They are conformable and affordable. My calves however will not fit into their skinny jeans... For more of a go out…

Have you been checked out by your doctor? There could be medical (like hormonal) issues that are affecting your ability to lose weight. Gaining 10 pounds while eating 1360, especially if you are adamant on weighing/measuring, must have been quite disheartening... I would go to my doctor and get some blood work done to rule…

Where did your hips go?!! :) It's hard for our minds to catch up with our bodies... We can lose like 1/4 of ourselves, like chopping off a leg, yet we look in the mirror and we still think we look the same... Keep track of your measurements, they don't lie. And throw out any clothes that are too big for you, except maybe 1…

If walking is working, keep walking! Venture down to the treadmill in your apartment, walk briskly for 5 mins to warm up, jog for a min, walk for half a min, jog for a min, walk for half a min, etc, etc. Make sure you cool down and stretch out those legs. Increase your speed of both your faster and slower paces, as well as…

Don't give up what you want most, for what you want now...

It's hard to explain on here... I have a subscription to Oxygen magazine and over the years have compiled a favourite list of ab exercises. Depending on which move it is, I would use anywhere from 5 to 10 pound weights. I would use whatever weight I could bear without putting strain on my back. Most of your typical ab…

I'm on Week 7 - Day 4 of Insanity: Start weight 140.6 (January 13th) Current Weight 130.6 (February 27th) Lost 3 inches off waist, 2 inches of hips and 2 inches of each thigh. Get a heartrate monitor, but don't go overboard. I got a 150 dollar polar one from Running Room with the chest strap. In month 1 I was burning…

Going from high school where I played sports and ran every minute of my spare time, to engineering at university where the little spare time I had consisted of drinking, socializing and eating. Lost all the weight post university, but then met someone who didn't need to watch what he ate, and I didn't want to be that woman…

I put a tsp of coconut oil in my coffee with stevia, cinnamon and a splash of vanilla every morning. Put it in the magic bullet and it makes it like a latte without the milk. I was surprised the first time I tried it. It's delicious as long as you drink it hot. I do it with my cheap no-name brand coffee though.

I am on week 6 of insanity. It is... insane. I have been circuit training for years and actually used to run a group 5 days a week. My workouts were so intense I had guys puking. Insanity is another level of craziness. It is a cardio challenge and a muscle challenge. I agree with leighann, try T25 first, once you do this…

I would try and up your protein... Like change up your hard boiled egg to 4 egg whites? Have some PLAIN yogurt with your fruits and cut back half the fruit serving?

I can't lose weight without limiting my carbs, however I can maintain my weight with the 80/20 rule. 80% of the week eat lean protein, lots of veggies, a couple servings of "good carbs" a day (spaghetti squash, whole grains, basmati rice, etc), a couple fruit a day, probiotics like yogurt, use stevia instead of sugar,…

I am on week 5 of Insanity (behind by 1 workout due to a work trip yesterday which also led to a cheat day on my eating plan). The transition from the 1st to the 2nd month is EXTREME! I almost wish it were a 90 day program so that there was a step between the 1st month and the 2nd. Start Weight Day 1: 141 Weight at Week 5…
