When I focus on "weight loss" and appearance, I become less motivated for some reason. When I focus on being stronger, running longer, lifting more, and just being healthier... it motivates me.

Sweets. I LOVE homemade pie but it is rare to come by. As for chocolate, cookies, brownies, etc... I could live without. They do not even cross my mind. I don't really ever want McDonalds or KFC and both are within 2 min walk of my home. CHIPS are my downfall!

Maybe you are stressed or menstrating? Don't beat yourself up. It happens. Get back on track and maybe get the sugary stuff out of house? I am not a sweets person. My thing is salty greasy carbs. I find eating more sweet fruit helps with sweets cravings.

Counting calories isn't bad. MFP told me to be at 1200. When I sat down and did the actual correct calculations my actual intake was 1550, and after trying to stay at 1200.. I can do 1550 no problem!!! :)

I live in Canada, so I am not sure what you guys have that we have... but: Frenchy's is HUGE here (second hand clothes). Or Walmart is inexpensive? Even stores like Suzy Shier and Blue Notes have affordable clothing.

You def need to eat more. It is not recommended males go under 1500 cals a day. You should try recalculating your daily cal intake limit. NOT using the MFP calculator though. My advice: This group is great for support and for logging stuff in. DO NOT follow the calorie limit MFP posts for you. There are forums that tell you how to calculate this correctly. Best wishes!

Drink lots of water. Try not to eat back your workout cals. It is recommended that HALF of your cals for weight loss (3500 cals = 1lb) comes from restriction and HALF come from working out. It is probably doable, but not recommended. No more than 2 lbs a week is really recommended. But maybe with extra exercise? Realistic would be: 16 weeks x 2 lbs a week = total of 32 lbs in 4 months.

I would leave beer out of it. My understanding of a baby shower was to shower baby with gifts. I do not remember any women getting booze or nights out at the baby showers I have been to. This just seems sexist to me.
