I chose the weight I chose because when I started University I was that weight and I believe it was healthy. I am 195 and want to be 140.
-
I have protein shakes so that I feel fuller longer or on days I am doing weights. It does not make sense to replace a meal with it since it has like 220+ calories for a cup (powder mixed with milk).
-
This is exactly me. As soon as 7pm hits I want FRIES or CHIPS or ICE CREAM and no, it does not fit with my calories. It becomes uncomfortable and I cannot tell if I am actually hungry or just craving or what. I hate it.
-
That was not the point.

Nope. I never said I support her. I do not think discouraging someone from doing something dangerous is what the original poster had an issue with. So whether HCG is safe or not is not the point here. It is the manner in which people go about addressing it. I don't appreciate you focusing on one line and then making up…

I do not even know what HCG is. I do not think that was the point either. People can express their concerns and suggestions in a healthy way. I have seen name calling and belittleing on this site and that is simply unacceptable.

Or people are new? Need encouragement? Feel lost? I am newer. I have not had a whole box of lucky charms, nor would I want to be accused of self-destructive behaviour since I am incredibly healthy, eat healthy, and exercise 4-5 times a week. Weight loss is hard and people find themselves wanting to lose weight and get…

People can be supportive and state that they think a cetrain diet is unsafe etc without being a jerk about it. They can offer suggestions or ideas without attacking. You guys are adults and you know what is right from wrong with how you interact with someone. You do not need to put people down and have an almighty "I know…

Weird, since "cyber bullying" is actually a real concept and a huge problem.
-
Yeah, you gotta just do what works for you and find supportive people. There are a lot of personalities on this site for sure and it surprises me too, since I was under the impression that this was a site for support. Keep your chin up!

You lost 37 lbs! Can we see a diff?!?! Yes! I notice it for sure in your behind, stomach, and arms. Great job! :)

Height: 5'5 (65.1 cm) Weight: 195 lbs (88.45kg) Calorie intake: 1330 (although I had it at 1550 but JUST changed it) Target weight: 140 lbs I try not to eat back calories I have burned. I have calculated my daily calories needed BASED on the fact I workout 3-5 x a week.
-
I should also add that in the evenings I find myself craving really bad things like fries, chips, etc. and I just wanna eat even though I am not hungry. I find this challenging.

Stonesour Slipknot Mumford and Sons Seether However, when working out I love upbeat dance music. The kind of stuff you'd hear at a mainstream club, lol.

I have heard of women putting it on their face to tighten things up (help with wrinkles)... so, maybe it is the same idea?

There are anti-depressants that do not influence weight like Well-Butrin (but you had a reaction), and I have heard good things about Effexor too (I work in the field). Perhaps speak with your Doctor about switching? It is tricky finding one that works at all, let alone the ideal one without weight gain. I guess it is a…

Empirical evidence suggests (studies suggest) that when trying to quit something (so for you: smoking and poor eating/exercise habits, lets say) you are more likely to be successful at both if done at the same time, than if they are done seperately. So, this means you are perfectly insane for doing this.
-
I can relate to this. I have not lost the weight yet but I know gaining made me go from a DD to an E.

Advice from a personal trainer: NO DIET SODA. Not sure the science behind it, but was informed it is bad for weight loss.

adjust my bra, text, and MFP

A clinical psychologist taught me it in a psyc course a few years ago. But I am sure if you cared that much you could do your own research on it.

I'm not calling anyone a slob. I just don't understand why you are okay with shaming but do not think they are a slob. So what would you be shaming about? Because you "think" they are unhealthy. Did you know that people who are overweight are more likely to live longer than those underweight? Let's shame underweight people…

It is supposed to be a supportive environment. Give up the crap.

I don't know. They have always been big and their kids were big from even an early age. They eat well because they cook homemade dinners for a family of 7 everyday and there are 4 kids in the home which keeps everyone busy. The father works fulltime and does a lot of outside work (gardening, wood working). The mother had…

I do weights to reduce or eliminate cellulite and tone up any flab! Toned women are hot. Maybe women fear looking like the hulk? Hahahaha

Not exactly what I said. But we did not have an "obesity epidemic" 50 years ago. I am just saying people find themselves in situations for various reasons and we shouldn't be shaming them. We should be helping and educating. People don't just decide to be obese.
-
This is supposed to be a supportive site. And there are a lot of people on here considered overweight or obese for whatever reason. This is a place where people come to get support and make changes. People I love and care about are considered obese and never in a million years would I call them fat. Especially since they…
-
I am done engaging in this conversation with you. If you want to partake in bullying and being ignorant then you go right ahead.
-
People find themselves in the situation they are in for all knids of reasons. If you were taught to eat and live a certain way it can be hard to unchange that behaviour. If all you can afford is cheap processed foods, you have 5 kids to raise, and no money or time for the gym etc it can be hard. When people are just trying…

There are reasons for reckless behaviours though. People smoke due to stress and addiction and whatever else, same with alcohol use issues... so what we should just not treat people anymore? No. We need more prevention and support. I gained weight and it was not "reckless" it happened over time... going to school full-time…
