I weight most mornings but I only really count it towards weight loss weekly. My weight can fluctuate. If you just started changing your lifestyle you are just losing water weight. When I am retaining water my weight can change by up to 2 lbs temporarily.

crunches, leg lifts, etc. You can also do punches for cardio. I saw that in a Jillian workout before and reinforced doing body combat classes. Doing jab, cross, etc combos really gets the heart going

Yes and no. I don't always trust that I burned what MFP says I burned. I have low blood sugar issues so if I have a more intense workout I do eat a large snack before hand to keep from having issues. So I kind of eat them back...I just eat them ahead of time?

I struggled with overly large portion sizes/appetite for years. It led to me developing bulimia (I felt it was the only way I could lose weight with how much I ate). I had to change and adapt to better portions. I use pint glasses for my water intake. I have 1 before I drink my coffee in the morning (I ALWAYS have coffee…

It happens. I know from experience...guilt and anger are of NO value in making a lifestyle change. Try to think of WHY you overate. Were you upset? Stressed? Tired? For me I overeat in the afternoon when my lunch wasn't fulfilling. FIgure out WHY and then make a plan for next time. (for example I know that if my lunch is…

I prefer wines now that are more dry. I can stand the super sweet juice-like ones anymore. But, I do love my vino.

My evening cravings are also bad. I plan to have a protein shake after dinner as part of my diet around 8pm. It helps SO much with night time eating, plus it is already accounted for.

I am about 5'5.5 and I weigh about 154 right now. I am looking to get to about 143-145. With my frame, I personally get too skinny looking when I get below 143ish. I am 26.

I'm 26. I am quasi stay at home mom to a year and a half yr old. I nanny full time again starting Feb 1st and I am working on completing my associates for my RN. I would like to lose about 10-15 total pounds before my wedding/honeymoon in early april

Ill add you, I can always use more friends!

I used to force breakfast because "it's the most important meal of the day." Now, I don't eat it unless I need to. I have my few glasses of water and some coffee...if my body is still "girl, feed me" I eat. I eat less overall on days I don't eat in the mornings because I have more calories for lunch, 3pm snack and dinner.…

befit on youtube has a lot of workouts, fitnessblender is another one. Pinterest has a lot as well. There's also the P90x, insanity type workouts as well.

You'll probably love it. I did it in july and not only had great results, but it really helped me form better mentalities about weight loss (it helped me learn proper portions, etc). I love the workouts and even though I am not doing the 21 days anymore I love working them into my weeks.

When you are sitting at a machine and you need to rest between sets, ok. When you have sat at the same machine and haven't done one rep in 20 minutes, you are now a jerk. Move on or sit in a chair if you just want to sit around.

Ill send you a request as well :)

....can I buy some drugs from you? (I hate that I have to say that this was sarcasm...before anyone goes crazier)

PF seems to be disliked from many people here. Here is my two cents. I had a membership from about Nov 2009-May 2011. I liked my membership. I get very "gym-shy" and I used to get very intimidated at my college gym (If I asked how to use a machine I would get an eye roll by staff and "well...its written on the machine.." I…

I'm in Upstate NY. Not too much fresh here. Fresh is: bananas, apples, citrus, cucumber, baby carrots, avocado, peppers (if I get a good deal). We do a LOT of frozen. It's too expensive to buy fresh and in many cases around here this time of year frozen will be fresher. I buy Frozen produce from Aldi. 12oz berries (mixed…

Some good tips. I actually gave up on couponing. I learned which products were cheaper at Aldi (and worth the savings) and which were cheaper generic at my beloved Wegmans (both of which were cheaper than using brand and coupon). Now that we have a costco, there are a few items that I get cheaper there (Kcups, bacon,…

This is so true. It was on these boards where I learned that diet is 80% of the battle and working out is only 20% (I always assumed working out was most of it).

Sure. When I administered medicine in a nursing home, I charted any water that was consumed either with powder or what they drank to swallow the medication

OMG. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for MONTHS because my knees/hips were killing from squats. I never once felt muscle burn doing squats...only joint pain. I did like 6 of the kind you mentioned...and ow haha. THANK YOU. (and I was doing the workout video type squats.)

Im in, sounds like fun!

I haven't been hungry in 9 hours. I would say I ate pretty bad...and it was worth every bite.

^^agree. I have been "recovering" for two years now. I don't engage in behaviors and I really do love myself and I finally have a realistic and healthy attitude on food, portions and my weight. However, if it were not for my child, given a bad day or enough stress I could go back to that in a heartbeat.

Here is how I look at weight loss (coming from an eating disorder background myself) You have to love yourself as is and realize that no amount of weight loss/gain will change who you are. With that out of the way...If you happen to lose weight because you were not eating a healthy, well rounded diet and getting adequate…

I've seen the poles that you can buy, I was interested in those as well with DVDs...so my fiance found me a nice youtube compilation of videos of girls on those poles and them tipping over/breaking and the girls landing on their faces. Do you find any issues like that with ones that you put in your home? And is yours…

Calories are calories regardless of if sugar is involved. Some people do find that they have food addiction issues and they need to cut it out, and some people need to be careful with sugar for medical reasons (diabetes, etc). other than that just be sensible.

My fiance is the same way. When we met 4 years ago, I was 136 (I had an eating disorder at the time) and he was about 180. Fast forward a few years (and one baby) and I was about 160 and he was about 215. I'm 5'6 and he's about 5'7-5'8. He was the one in the beginning trying to get me to go to the gym and eat right (hoping…
