My list: apples raspberries strawberries watermelon? banananananananananas OJ frozen edamame frozen corn frozen peas navy beans rice raw almonds ginger tea sodaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa We typically buy in bulk, especially the frozen veggies, so I don't have a TON of variety.... I'd like to have them fresh,…

I'll cube a potato or two and boil it in some water and a teaspoon (or half) of Better than Bouillon vegetable stock base. Easy, comforting, cheap, and low cal if you go easy on the potato. You could easily add in some pre-cooked chicken a minute before you take it off the stove if you wanted more protein, too. I tend to…

I only eat back exercise calories if I'm feeling hungry or weak. Eating when I wasn't hungry is why I put on all this weight to begin with, so I don't really see a reason to force myself to eat more. If I'm eating healthy food, it's hard enough for me to get to the minimum 1490 MFP sets for me, nevermind the 800-1000…

I was born in San Antonio, and I've got family there too (though I have moved all over the country). Welcome!

There are only 4 Canadians.**

....I hate to admit it, but my favorite sandwich in the world is peanut butter and cream cheese. Hehe.

Whip cream cheese and light/regular cool whip until fluffy, and use as dip for cut up fruit like strawberries, apples, mangoes, etc.

I'd say do what you know works for you... If you're comfortable eating around 1200, and it doesn't seem to be giving you any negative side effects, then go for it... For me, if I eat 1200 a day, I put on weight unless I exercise all day, because my metabolism is wrecked, even though I "should" be eating around 2000. It…

Since I have an ipod, I just use the FREE Striiv app. It syncs directly with MFP.... but if you don't have an ipod/iphone, maybe something like fitbit would be good.

5'11", currently 245 lbs. My first real goal weight is 180, but once I get there I may decide I want to go lower - I'm not sure! -edit- size 18

In for the eating of cats.

I've got a bag of Rudi's plain flour tortillas in the fridge right now, and they're just sort of okay... Honestly I think you're better off eliminating bread completely and instead having things like rice and quinoa as your grains. It sucks for a little while, but you get used to it. The gluten free bread out there is not…

My bookshelves are overflowing. On my nightstand there's a tower of books that have slowly shoved my alarm clock and lamp onto the floor. The books on top are: 1984 by George Orwell, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Grass by Sheri S. Tepper (haven't started it yet), and Why I'm Afraid of Bees (probably one of the most…

On the rare occasion I get a free $5 Starbucks gift card, I'll get an unsweetened Tazo black tea. 0 calories.

From what I've heard from my friends in Canada, everything that contains corn syrup has to be labeled as such....So companies don't produce anything with corn syrup in Canada because it doesn't sell!

This kills me, especially in frozen TV dinner type things. I try not to eat them very often but sometimes they're just convienient! So a clearly-one-person bowl of vegetarian chili is 190 calories per serving. Sounds good, right? Except that there are two servings in ONE bowl! Who the hell is going to only eat half of it?!…

I throw a couple tablespoons into a cup of orange juice, let it sit overnight, and I've got breakfast for the next day. OJ probably isn't the greatest choice, but I can't stand the taste of chia in just water, and this way I get some vitamin C in too ;)

...I eat Toaster Strudel straight out of the freezer. :D

I go a little crazy with my lunches and make them adorable and bento-style, but with Americanized food. Today I took a whole rainbow of fruits and vegetables, and a sliced up spinach and ricotta wrap that was nice and pretty :) I mainly try and focus on fruits and vegetables for lunch.

I'm not a huge fan of "breakfast food", or eating in the morning at all, but lately I've been forcing myself to eat oatmeal and yogurt, because I know if I don't, I'll be low energy and grouchy all day.

Take it slow. I didn't just start off going from near 0 to 10k steps a day, I started with 2k, then 4k, 6k, etc, over the course of a few months. Exercise doesn't need to be intense to be meaningful :) Also, aqua exercise is good! I stopped going to classes out of embarrassment, but... once it's warm enough outside, I'll…

Could easily be altered to be more healthy. For example, halve the butter, halve the cheese, use reduced fat cheese, etc....

Whatever I can throw together from the scraps in the fridge....Oh dear... This will be interesting.

I record the lectures, pay attention to the lecture as it's happening, and later listen to the recording and take notes from that. Just what works for me.
