For what it's worth - My advice would be to stay off the forums and surround yourself with supportive "Friends". I rarely come into the community side, tonight is just to be nosey  I've found that MFP makes me accountable for what I put into my body and my exercise choices, accountable to myself and the people I…

No events, just to get past day 1 was achievement enough for tonight haha My friend and I have been walking together since February and were both beaming with pride at the end as this is the first time either of us have actually run and WE DID IT!

I can relate to the boredom eating, especially in front of the TV :blushing: Ive now wheeled my elliptical into the lounge and watch movies whilst I work out  Feel free to add me. Ive found that the more friends you have cheering you on the better, especially on the days when you fall off the wagon  Welcome…

I started my MFP journey in December at 181 pounds, currently 159 and aiming for 143 by end of July (65kg for my birthday). I have been happy with that goal, especially since I’m over half way there – After reading what others have put I’m wondering if I should be aiming more for 130 for my height of 5’4”? I’d say I was a…

Feel free to add me too. I've been on this MFP journey since January this year and honestly could not have done it without all of the lovely people <3

I have two, one on each wrist. "Live in this moment" This is like a post-it note to myself to remind myself to (a) Enjoy each moment for what it is and not stress about the future/things I can't change and (b) a reminder to not be so overly impulsive as it tends to get me in trouble lol. I also have "Blessings" went…

I'm on my 4th attempt at the 20 minute Zumba and am only just starting to get the hang of the moves!! I log it as dancing, but it's more like arms and legs flailing around the lounge

Sorry if I offended you, but we all have to start somewhere and this weight loss business is a lot more complicated than I thought to do it right. To all of those with helpful comments  I thank you.

Wow! Math was never my strong point. 1200 is what MFP suggested and having never actually calorie counted before I thought it was ok. I really need some help with this, unless there is a calculator somewhere on here?? Age: 35 Height: 164cm / 5'4" Current weight: 80kg Goal weight: 60kg (by July 2013 if that makes any…

Thanks for the advice - will make those changes now

oh, ok then. So (novice question here)... should I just watch fats, protein and carbs? If so, is it possible to remove the sugar counter?

Hi all, I'm Toni (35) - Full-time working Mumma to Miss 6 and Mr 3. We live in New Lynn, West Auckland and I would LOVE to have an MFP buddy in my area to help me back into exercising. I was last weighed at my Specialist's rooms 2 weeks ago and was 82.5kg, this is the heaviest I have ever been!! The worst part is that back…
