Ditch the clothes to a charity and use the tax deduction. Set limits with your mother that if she brings up food or weight or "not being able to find a man" then the conversation or visit will be over and she will be asked to leave or said "goodbye" to and hung up on. Start on a routine that will allow you to get to YOUR…

Unless she's got her own adventure motorcycle or sailboat I'm not interested. I want a friend who can keep up with me, not some high maintenance trophy. Of course if you want to go to a special dinner and dress for it by all means, I'll wear a suit and a tie too. But that's the exception.... I'd be as tomboyish as you all…

There have been all sorts of studies but for a "normal" person it all comes down to "eat less, and exercise." Now if you're abby normal (like me) then your body converts carbs into triglycerides preferentially and that causes other problems. So avoiding carbs makes sense. I'm sure for other folks avoiding fats is the way…

Eat lots of veg and drink lots of water and stay active and you'll be amazed at how easy it is to avoid calories. But it will take some habit changing to get there so don't expect to do it all in a weekend. Nuts, I've been doing this for two years and it's not over yet. Not sure it ever will be.

Swimming is good because it's not going to stress your joints and will build muscle all around. But it's going to take a LOT of swimming to burn the calories. Still, I think it's the best way to start. Enroll your son in lessons and hit the lap pool at the same time if you can.

Your numbers aren't adding up, better check your tracking and then cut something out of the diet completely, like carbs or fat.

The one way to check your ability to stop with alcohol is to do just that - stop. If you can. If you can't then get help from your group of choice. I cut my beer back to one or two a week and lost 10 more pounds. It will definitely help your weight because you loose the carbs and the munchies. It's probably your best path…

But then what would you use to clean up the blood?

I wonder how it will turn out. The UK gov has certainly made a hash of it.

So will the Scots go for disunion?

Get a bicycle, it's easier on the knees and you see more.

Movie script, anyone? Seems way too much drama and tension for "nothing sexual" but I guess that could happen. Sounds like couples therapy at least. Or, if you really don't want to be together why does it matter? If you don't trust each other snooping is part of the deal.

You say you're not depressed but "not caring about anything" is one of the signs of clinical depression. You're going to need help with it. Take it from somebody who's been there.

You've lost too much, you should stop (I'm 20# over my target...)

Yes, one of the worst side effects with Zyprexa is weight gain. And no, you don't have to be psychotic to have it prescribed. It's used a lot if a person is having problems focusing their thoughts as well. But the weight gain - yeah, that's a problem.

No, but if you mix it with whisky you won't miss the food!

When I had access to a pool I was swimming twice a week, at least 1000m, and lifting twice a week. Swimming will help with your core and stamina. But the lifting will build muscle. Now I'm riding a bicycle 2 -3 times a week and hopefully will find a decent gym.

>> Does your sex drive shut off during the week, then? Yeah, more or less. Working 11 - 12 hours a day will do that. But hey, it works for me.

I'm single during the work week and married on the weekend, it's all a bit confusing. And since I'm not allowed pets at the apartment I had to leave the dragon at home.....

It's painful to exercise when the weight is up. I hit 260# and it wasn't fun. But it can be done. For me it was cut out the carbs and get back on the bicycle. Ellipticals work well too. Anything low impact. I use MFP as a guide and I'm not glued to it all week but I do track what I eat. No pop, little starch, even giving…

I prefer Leonidas from Belgium but since I don't get there often there is Daffin's from Sharon, Pa. The German chocolate in Aldi is actually pretty good too.

carbonated fruit flavored fizzy water. The stuff that BJ's sells cheap. Vitamin water 0 on the bicycle.

Having trouble sleeping sometimes myself. If you find a cure for that let me know. In the meantime welcome!

Men used to wear a thing called a codpiece. And wigs. And makeup. That all changed with the industrial revolution. It seems that the fashion industry isn't going to let women customers go as easily. But if you look on the factory floor and even in the exec wing there isn't a lot of war paint going on at work any more. So…

I might make 200 miles. Not sure how to commute to work, it's a business office. Suggestions welcome on that one! But please add me to the group, I've got grocery getters on the hybrid and am learning the area on the bike. Eric

I guess I would start with something you enjoy that's low stress both mentally and aerobically. Do you ride a bicycle? Take long walks? Swim? Long and easy and (maybe) indoors is better than trying to cram in a huge workout in 20 minutes. Slow and steady is the way to beat the asthma. And have your rescue inhaler with you.…

Nice. It won't be long before I join you at the 100# off club. Funny how much better you feel, eh?

I put 22# (is that one stone?) back on after a death in the family. I'm back to 190 now but struggling to go lower. Dang body is revolting!
