  • I agree klkarlen! Especially now that I can ride again - yahoo! more arena and trail time for me less logging!
  • frozen blueberries, protein powder, powerade zero (yeah not clean but I like it in this form). That has been my treat after getting home in the 100 degree heat this week.
  • Minimize processed - if I say zero then I set myself up as todays world is full of it. If it grows or moves - eat it.
  • Butter lettuce, Parsley, potatoes (red) Garden isn't doing so hot and only a few raspberries are left. My tomatoes are coming along though!!
  • So sorry to hear that! It certainly sucks and I can relate. I am up to 2.5 mph after ACL surgery in May grrrrr. Aquatic exercise, bike riding (I now but it would at least help with stress!!) What about walking? My PT says waling for over 20 minutes causes all the muscles from the next to the feet to loosen up and relax.
  • There are lots of cool recipes - peanut butter mochas, pina coladas etc. Try googling some. I don't do any milks. Coconut water, ice, adding spinach doesn't affect the flavor and spirulina adds vitamins. Some people do cocnut flakes, pineapple (pina colada stuff). I like blueberries and raspberries spinach and protein…
  • it is strong. so amazingly strong!
  • Love that smile in the after pics!! Great job!
  • no ones responded? Hmmmm Macros are interesting. I use them to make sure I hit my protein goal which is hard for me. If I eat within my macros then I lose. If I get to many carbs I gain water weight. I was advised to start with a 30 carb 30 fat and 40 protein split. MFP macros are to high on carbs for me.
  • I weigh every day - I used to freak but it has been interesting to watch the trends. It is not linear (meaning a straight line) it goes up and down and zig zags! If I always want to show a minus I have learned teusday am is the best day. A gain sunday am is the best day. Probably due to increased sodium and water from what…
  • I find I use less butter when I use butter or Ghee. So I just use it. I cook with coconut oil or olive oil though. Depending on what it is. Balsamic and oil is great by the way!! In Italy they didn't understand why my friend wanted butter for her bread ;-) LOL
  • I am glad I found this group - it is right up my alley I too am frustrated by the main boards and the bashing that goes on and misinformation. I eat as clean as I can - am I perfect no but I am so much better than I was a few years ago! We would rather eat at home because it tastes so much better and nothing is better than…
  • almonds, salsa, and homemade jerky right now
  • Yahoo! You have agot a head start on a lot of people. You can make this work for you!
  • I agree with Jonbarth. That said. You have it on you to do it. Try not to stress and just pick one thing right now. Track. Water. Whatever. And make up your mind to just work on that. Loosen it up a bit so you don't snap :-)
  • I get what you are saying. Your asking what foods trigger overrating/binge eating and how do we avoid them. Mine are potato chips and naniamo bars. Basically I have to drive by the store in order not to set myself off. What I have found is it's probably stress and not enough water if craving chips. And a super fatiguing…
  • Sorry your frustrated! That frame of mind sucks. I agree with trying Maint for a week or two ( try not to panic. Eating food is necessary!) and reframe your mind to this is the lifestyle I can expect. Explore good options. Clean eating more fresh vegs fiber protein and relax. Then hit it again.
  • I did the trimming clinic and it was great! I did not know what I did not know! So glad the expo was good! Sometimes they are sometimes not. I haven't been to one in 5 years. I did get one day clinic in before surgery. Dakota did great and I cant wait to work on some things with him from the saddle!
  • low carb eating is when your net carbs (carbs - fiber basically) are generally below 50 - 15 when first starting. Really low! That means no processed (white) foods, potatoes, pasta, rice, legumes, limited fruits, no sugar honey. they also do not limit fat and lean toward real heavy cream, full fat yogurts etc. Me I am more…

  • I have an old Tanita and new digital. the Tanita does a great job and the new scales batteries go out frequently. Both are within ounces of each other and both do body composition.
  • I did the Whole30 and do a primal eating style. They say to up your carbs on active days - meaning a whole sweet potato, etc - I have even heard that they have ok'd potatoes and rice now? Check out their stuff on what to do. its pretty solid. good for you cleaning up your diet - 30 days isn't to hard - you only have 25…
  • I read that you take a drink everytime you go to the bathroom (when you get back to your office etc) that has helped me so much!!
  • April - I did great! Got back on track logged in every day - stayed in my range most of the time and am down the 10 that I gained - 3 away from Onderland. May - have surgery on the 19th so it has been working on diet mostly for me. I am able to get around better fright now so lots of walking - some yoga and hopefully some…
  • Awesome! I have found weighing in more frequently very informative (spikes) and it explained why certain days were really bad for sure. now I find weighing in more 'interesting' and less stressful. thanks for giving us hope that if we stick with it we will succeed!
