When I started the program I ran at 6.0 and walked at 3.5. As I progressed through the weeks I lowered my run speed to 5.5 to avoid repeating weeks or not completing a run. I finished the program running at 5.5. I run 2 miles about 3 x per week and I run that at 5.0-5.5 depending on how I feel. I want my run to be…

Yes! Lift heavy! Don't be afraid to pick the big weights up
-
Unless your health prohibits it, I would say hit the treadmill.

You'll be fine. I eat 2000-2500 calories daily. Despite being in maintenance I keep losing. The more I eat the more I lose.

Great thread! Bump :-)

I do heavy weightlifting 3-5 days per week. I always enjoy connecting with others that lift weights!

1. How long have you been maintaining? About 2 months 2. Did you adjust your initial goal? Yes, I'm trying to decrease my BF% 3. Did you begin the transition to maintenance before you actually hit your goal? Yes, when I was 3pounds from goal I transitioned to maintenance. 4. Did you gradually increase your calories or bump…

I'm on here everyday and log my food and exercise everyday. My diary is open to friends as well. Anyone feel free to add me!

Congrats on your loss so far! I started transitioning into maintenance about 3 pounds from my goal weight. I used MFP maintenance calculator set at light activity and ate some of my exercise calories back. I continued to lose weight so now I am eating my TDEE. I am still losing weight so I will keep upping my calories…

Same for me. I eat around 2,000 cal a day, although today I ate 2,200 cal. Since going into maintenance and eating more I've lost an additional 2.5 pounds. I'm just gonna keep eating, cause its fun!

Did W8D1 of C25K today. I'm so close to finish line I can almost taste it!
-
ThAnks for all the feedback! You all a true inspirations! It's great to see that maintenance is possible.

I lift heavy weights and I wonder how much my body will change as I increase my calories to maintenance. Thanks for the extra insight. Seems like maintenance will be yet another journey.
-
Thanks for your responses! It is going to be weird to eat more.

C25K. I ran 25 min straight yesterday and today. It starts you off slow to help you improve your stamina. Plus you only have to do it 3 days a week and you can repeat weeks if you want. Since starting this program I can now safely call myself a runner. Good luck!

Not only do I feel like a badass... I enjoy the surprised look on people's faces when I'm benching or doing dead lifts
-
Congrats! I'm on week 7!

You can keep doing whatever you have already been doing. I would start anything extra stenuous. I ran every week while pregnant all the way to my 6th month and I did brisk walking until I gave birth. My labor was extremely easy and my stomach went back flat after 6 weeks my second child I was a lazy *kitten* lol. My labor…

Just finished W4D1!! I've been doing the running at 6.0 on the treadmill, but halfway through the last 5 min I decreased the speed to 5.5. At 1 min renaining I increased it back up to 6.0. So far loving the program and I can really see a difference in my endurance. Keep it up everyone!

Thanks for the support and great ideas!!

I shrug as part of my deadlifts. The shrug causes me to hold the deadlift longer. I do deadliftsabout twice a week and adding the shrug has caused my love handles and back fat to tone up. I don't do shrugs by themselves, only with deadlifts. Now of course it is extremely hard and I can only do about 6-8 reps of 3 sets…

The Nike Trainer app is great! It gives u excercises that u can do at hone with no equipment and minimal equipment. They also have their workouts sectioned off. So, you would go to the "get lean" section. Hope that helps and best of luck to u!

Everyone is definitely different. I have found success with slowly increasing my calories. I just increased my calories to 1700 and lost over 2 pounds. I do workout 5 days a week burning around 500 calories a day. The whole idea is to lose weight and be able to sustain the weight loss. You don't want to get to your goal…

I'm on Week 2 Day 3 and so far I'm loving it! Please feel free to add me! I might need a bit mire support as I get further along. I have been doing the running portion at 6.0 on the treadmill. I'll decrease that if it gets too difficult. Good luck to everyone on this journey!

I am in my second week of Couch 2 5K and so far so good. I'm not a fan if running, but like you, I want to be able to do it. Might give it a try :-). It's only 3 days a week and if you don't feel comfortable moving to the next level you don't have to. Check it out. Hope this helps!

Hello everyone! My name is Kita and I am a little over 2 months into this weight loss journey. I tried to lose weight last year, but I don't think I was really ready to change my lifestyle so I gained all my weight back. I'm ready to continue this lifestyle change and looking for some support and motivation. I'm also…

When I first started on my weight loss journey I only changed my diet. I would lose weight, but my body still looked the same or at most onky saw minor changes. I've had two kids so mot sure if that might have been a factor. When I added working out with reducing my calories my body began to transform. Hope that helps!…
