  • Tried the protein powder "pancake". Not even a good "substitute" pancake. I want the recipe for the pancake in the picture! ;)
  • Just want to say thanks for such a vivid description! I'm loving your syrup/pancake reference! It is always great to wake up and have a good laugh! Add this person to your list of reasons to workout!
  • I can't give you the answers, but I do have experience in this area. For at least 15 years of my life i consistantly purged the food I ate. I wasn't a binger as much as a purger. Now I am paying the price. I have worn out the enamel on the back of my top and bottom teeth, I am having throat problems as well. It was not…
  • Could it be his own insecuritites and fears of you bettering yourself? I realize it is a personal thing to say, but when I was in my early twenties I modeled and my husband at the time was always trying to keep me from bettering myself. Anything that led to my own self improvement was another brick in the wall between him…
  • A large egg is usually only 4.5 - 5 grams of fat. Maybe the "scrambled" entry included cream without stating that. Some restaurants add cream to their scrambled eggs. I would go with the basic egg entry and add any other ingredients one-by-one.

  • There is a great walking path that goes from the museum to one of the colleges there (Meredith? St Mary's?) When I visit my mom, we will go there to walk. It will have ups and downs, there is a little art on the way, and even a cool hut/dome slightly off path that you can go and explore. I realize it isn't "fun", but it is…
  • I am having the same problem. I lost 7#s in the first 1 1/2-2 weeks. I have checked my measurements and am losing there too. I am doing walk/jog intervals on the treadmill that burns 500 calories in 47 minutes (found in article w/jillian in Self mag (I think)). My daily cals are set to 1200, but if I get more from the…
  • WOW! Awesome work!! A lifetime accomplishment for sure!!!
  • You could also check out feta-style cheeses. Some are made from goat's milk (if digestion is an issue) and then there is also cow's milk feta by Athenos and other brands (with reduced fat versions).
  • Clean out cabinets or don't buy them.Or think of how you feel after indulging too much.
  • DON'T DO IT!! All great suggestions!!! Use your resources; you will be stronger for conquering that feeling!!!
  • From a culinary perspective, as well as nutritional, this is the healthiest version so far (unless you have issues with microwaving).
  • It is good to see that there are others in the same situation as me! Thank you for all the support and validation!
  • I go to Fitness19 and pay only $89 a year. For me, it works out great because I'm not into the sauna, steam, or pool action(which they do not provide). They do provide childcare. I find it an incentive to go 4-5 days a week since I paid for it; plus if the weather is bad, there is still no excuse not to go. (I still do…
  • Utilize unsalted or low sodium canned products (as suggested by others) if you don't have time to soak and cook from dry. If you stick with the recipe, just decrease the tomato sauce by a third or a half. If it is a little to thick when it is done, just add a little sauce at the end.
  • Try the natural food section of your grocery. Or find a nautral food store or a Whole Foods.

  • Went traditional but with an upgrade... -collard greens with agave, onions, carrots and prosciutto instead of bacon -black-eyed peas with onion, garlic, and spanish chorizo instead of hamhock -pan roasted pork tenderloin with sauteed honeycrisp apples ...and was 431 kcal and only 13g fat!
  • Thanks for the info...can't wait for the dvds to arrive! I'll try the hand waits too.
  • I cleanse once or twice a year (colon and for heavy metals); it is important to use supplements. My chiropractor has a great line for cleansing that comes out of California. She goes for homeopathic, but she would kill me if I did the saltwater method!
  • I can't give you any info on calorie burn, but you may be able to find something that is close in the database (time and intensity). Did you like Hip Hop Abs? I'm not much of a dancer, but anything is better than crunches! Take care!
