Just keep your food portioned as you want it and tough it out. If it's that bad, eat something like celery, or maybe get some konjac noodles, but ultimately ... You're going to have to tough it out for a while if you're trying to eat better. Your body is a thing of habit, and you didn't build your current eating habits in…

I only cook one meal a day, as I've switched my other two meals to RAW meal replacements, but it's currently my boyfriend, my mother, and myself and I'm the only one who cooks, hah. I use the recipe builder for things like soups and stews, though before I did basically the same thing just by hand. For solid portions (like,…

That is something I forgot to mention though. :) A calorie is a unit of energy, it's not a physical 'thing'. All our foods are not packed with little calorie granules! Hahaha. A calorie is just a measurement of how much useable energy your body breaks food down into, accounting for things like digestion (ie, the energy it…

Scientifically as someone who HAS studied nursing nutrition, a calorie is a calorie is a calorie. If your personal experiences are different, then you may have a condition that makes your body react differently than the normal populace. This doesn't mean a cookie is as good as a carrot per calorie though. High-vitamin…

Not to mention if you're exercising a lot, you'll gain muscle, which weighs more per area than fat - so you might be losing fat but not weight. 1200 is really a baseline MINIMUM diet, you could be freaking your body out too . . . Are you using a calculator to set what you should be eating? Edit: As someone who has studied…

I find oddly that drinking iced water makes it taste much better than just plain cool or warm water. Mio is good too.

Everyone's body types are different, too ... while 13 lbs is a LOT, you probably lost a tiny bit everywhere - so you don't see any difference yet, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Just give it time. If you quit so soon you won't lose at all; it needs to be a lifestyle change and something you can live with so that you…

Apart from just being the most natural, I find that EVOO has the best consistency for cooking and the best flavors. Out of any of the EVOO brands I've tried, I've never preferred a plain virgin or pure over ANY of them. And I've never tried a "light" olive oil.

It's quite possible it's because of muscle or childbirth. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Frames don't shrink - at least your bones don't - and I think that the muscle would be better than being skinny skinny. You should be proud of where you are now ! ;)

Eating so little may make your body go into "starvation mode" ... which can very well make you gain. You should be eating at least 1200 a day, no matter what. I find that MFP's suggestions are very good, however. I used to eat too little, too. Since starting MFP I've lost 13 lbs ... at a daily caloric intake of anywhere…

Good luck to you. :D I've lost 13 lbs so far. ;) MFP is awesome.

What do you have your weight loss goal set at ? You might try a lower per-week goal at first as you adapt to eating differently. (: I think the most important thing for losing weight is your calorie count. But if you're eating a lot over (GRAMS of sodium is TOO MUCH) you should consider changing the types of food you eat !
