  • I usually just buy a box of 5 dozen eggs. It is cheaper than egg beaters, or liquid egg whites, and I can de yolk what I want. I know the yolks are healthy, so I usually do one or 2 whole eggs, but to increase protein I also do a few whites.
  • It's a great idea, but if you want to make money on it, you need to sell it with some kind of supplement, fat burner, or placebo that you have developed to make money on it.
  • I've always gone alone. I put in my headphones, and concentrate on my workout. It would be nice to have a spotter with me for bench presses, but if I am worried about not being able to make a lift, I use the smith machine.
  • The only problem with fats for most people is that they are high in calories. For you that is a good thing. The low fat craze was a fad in the 1980s. Most dieticians have come to the conclusion that going low fat, or fat free is counter productive to weight loss, since a lot of fat free products add sugar, and sugar is…
  • If you want to do a low carb, you should adjust your settings in your goals by manually putting them in. I set mine to 40%carb/40% protein/20% fat. figure out what settings you need to go with to get your carbs in the range you need, then track it that way.
  • I'd have to go with black.
  • protein pancakes, french toast, eggs...... You can always blend your oatmeal into a flour texture to make the pancakes. They are quite tasty too. Top them off with sugar free syrup or fruit.
  • For most people it probably doesn't matter. For some that are insulin resistant, they will have to watch the amount of sugars they consume, even from fruit. one or two fruits a day is all you really need, but if you want more, go for it, but it will probably put you over your recommended sugar allowance. Glucose is ideal…
  • MFP doesn't list my address, or phone number. I think I'm safe.

  • Many people try to limit their carbs at night. If you are insulin resistant, your body may want to store the carbs as fat since you aren't doing any physical activity to burn them off, but I have never had any issues with eating right before bed. Like I said in my previous post, make sure you are getting a healthy protein,…
  • If you workout at night, you should eat something after. For HIIT you can wait about an hour to eat, but if you do any weight training, you should eat something within about 45 minutes of your workout. It doesn't matter what time you eat your last meal. Your body does all it's work when you're sleeping. It needs the…
  • Not really. Unless you have kidney problems, protein is very helpful in losing weight. I changed my macros to 40/40/20. I usually get around 150 to 200 grams per day now.
  • I make mine with frozen fruit, walnuts, or almonds, cinamon, sweetener, then top it off with a dollup of fat free whipped cream. Sometimes I will add cottage cheese to it too, but most of the time I will eat it with either an omelete, or whey protein drink.
  • If you're doing low carb, I would recommend changing your macros, by going into the customs settings on your goals. You can set your ratios according to whatever your diet recommends that way.
  • There are several key points to a good ab workout. Volume is not the biggest factor in doing abs. Make sure you tighten your abs before you even start your contraction, and make sure your abs stay tight throughout the entire workout. You don't need to do a lot of ab work, but if you want to measure progress, try planks.…
  • The best answer I can give is that it all depends on your body type, goals, and workout habits. Like others have said, if you have a hard time with portion control on certain items, it is wise to cut them out if you can. Some people are insulin sensitive, and need less carbs, Some people need more. Find out what works for…
  • I actually read an article where the author states that High GI carbs are better than low GI carbs for your post workout meal. High Gi converts to glucose easier helping to get the necessary nutrients to your muscles to aid in the rebuilding process.
  • Cottage cheese mixed with oatmeal is pretty good. Today I just had whey protein with my oatmeal.
  • The more articles I read about nutrition, the more I realize that no one was is correct. Do what feels right to you, and what works. I have read so many conflicting articles by "experts", that Either they are just writing them because they are running out of new material to write about, or because there is not one right…
  • Body for life is a good place to start. Bodybuilding.com has some good routines, and nutrition plans as well, Just be careful, because they are trying to sell their supplements, which can cost a lot of money. I have done my whole weightloss routine without supplements this time, except for an occasional multivitamin, fish…
  • I actually can't stand most fast food burgers, they are too thin. I much prefer my homemade turkey or lean ground beef burgers, that I can season, and add what toppings I want to.
  • I think most of us do care what we put into our bodies. I eat clean most of the time. There are a few things that I don't know how to make from scratch, and getting my family to eat clean is a chore. I do have an occasional cheat meal, never by myself, but to take my kids, or girlfriend out for a "treat". I also replace a…
  • I agree with this. I don't believe an occasional twinkie, or krispy creme donut will have severly adverse affects on your body, It may slow your progress, but won't kill you. On the other hand sprinkle arsenic on your organic tomatoes a few times a month, and the effects are irreversible.
  • Most ellipticals will have either a random setting, or an interval setting. They will adjust the resistance periodically throughout your workout.. you can do the same with a bike, or treadmill too.
  • The most important person for you to be doing it for is for you. My Fiancee', and my kids both don't want to eat clean either. I struggle when I am around both, for the same reasons. I am doing this for me, though. They were happy with me when I was fat, but I wasn't. This is for me, my health, and my self image. I am not…
  • I'm a lesbian, trapped in a man's body.
  • My work schedule. Is on a 28 day rotation, and I get 7 days off in a row every month. My time of the month happens to be just after that, when I have to go back to work.
  • You may be able to pay for a full year.without giving them a credit card. I have a buddy at work who did that, and he got both he, and his wife for about an equivalent to what I pay for myself.
  • I go to Golds. From what I've seen, the price varies, depending on what promotions they are offering. My girlfriend. Pays $10 per month, I pay almost $40. They give you 1 free personal training session, I'm not sure what they charge after that. I never really looked into it. Some gyms are 24 hour, some aren't. It depends…
