Yes I agree with eating more. It sounds counter intuitive but it works. Eating more will stimulate your body’s metabolism. Also increase your cardio exercise at the same time. You don’t have to increase your caloric intake overall , just a couple days a week.

Hang in there, you can do it! I’m 43 and lost 45 lbs since October , still about 10 -15 to go. Let me tell you what I’ve learned: I’ve been overweight all my life, not terribly obese but definitely not fit looking. I’m still not super athletic looking BUT I’ve found that it’s a lot easier than you think. Please realize…

It’s true what everyone is saying - motivation has to come from within. That being said, it doesn’t mean you can’t help. Weight loss is 90% about food intake. You should try to change both of your diet as much as possible (mostly your own). When you go out she orders a coke, you order an ice tea. She orders a lasagna you…

I got started (2nd time) this year as a 43 year old but this time it’s gonna stick. I started in October 2019 and I’m still going! Just 6 lbs left until my initial goal but I may go another 10 just to get to the cosmetic effect. I think I am already close to my college weight but it would be great to get to my high school…

What kind of food do you like to eat ? Any diet restrictions? You are not a bad cook and you can do more than you think. I wish when I was younger , I realized how easy it is to cook well, yummy, healthy, and cheaply. Instead I ate a lot of takeout and processed foods. For example, take some boneless skinless chicken…

All those people that are what and where you want to be? They aren’t doing anything magical. You can do it too.

I weigh once per week , which is just right for me. It takes me away from the emotional ups and downs of daily weighing, but it’s just enough feedback that I can adjust week to week . If it’s up any given week it’s at least some motivation to try again the following week . I’ve never had it go up two weeks in a row .

This made me Lol! I’m adding you Novus because I need more un-serious friends

Wow amazing! I am 5’8 as well and started at almost the same weight. It’s been 3 months only for me. Did you have to do a lot of cut -bulk cycles?
-
Add me! 43 here and aiming for 50lbs so I’ve lost 28lbs so far since October 1st! My wife is vegetarian also.
-
Wow lots going on! We’re homeschooling our two kids too! I work full time and plan all the curriculum and it’s a handful but very fulfilling!
-
I’m 43 and have lost the first 28 of 50lbs but I’m hitting a bit of a wall and a plateau. Add me !

I wasn’t a middle ager (at least didn’t consider myself to be) when I first started this app but now I’m restarting and that’s my identity now!

Co-worker brought me a donut and cookie from the break room today. She meant well. I left it until the end of the day then brought it home for my kids. I wasn’t even tempted! #NSV
