I think it's a cultural thing. Some people are reluctant to mention about your weight. A 50lb loss is definitely noticeable! On the weekends that I work, my wife takes the kids to visit my in laws. It's a blessing in disguise because I can go to the gym and take as long as I want without having to rush home for my family.

It's funny because there's another thread on this forum where posters are complaining about people commenting that they've lost weight (it makes some people uncomfortable when someone else comments on their weight, even if it is a compliment). I guess there's no pleasing everyone.

Give yourself a longer term goal, say July 1, when you look at the long run then you won't worry as much about the short term and let's you be more patient. BTW 14 pounds in a month is quite spectacular.

I just recycled my old fat jeans because I don't plan to need them again. Went out and got some fitter jeans at Goodwill because I plan to wear them for a short while until I downsize again. Call it hubris but I call it believing in myself.
