If I get salads outside of the home, I usually request olive oil / red vinegar on the side. For my home salads I use flax oil with lemon juice from freshly squeezed lemons (instead of vinegar)

Yes Generally yes. But frequently going over is going to be a problem with weight loss. I find it easier though to track weekly deficits instead of going nuts on a daily basis.
