Yeah, this. For some people it will knock them off track and make them maybe give in and for others it helps them along on their weight loss journey.

Because I control myself and can't actually eat that much anyway. Like I said before, my "cheat day" is having small extras, not binge eating all day. If my "cheat day" involves a big meal with friends then I'll eat less before or add extra exercise... it's worked perfectly well for me. I've lost 4-5lbs in the last few…

There's nothing "weak" about it. As you can see, people in this thread, including me, have "cheat days" and still lose. It's nice to have one day a week where you don't have to overthink what you're about to eat, especially when your daily calorie intake is 1200. And as long as you're not completely cancelling out your…

I'll usually just treat myself to a frozen pizza and maybe a couple of squares of chocolate. Or this week I had some BBQ food with my family but I didn't over eat. I don't think I go over 1500 and 1200 is my daily goal.
-
Not at all, you'd have to eat loads and cancel out your deficit to ruin everything that week. I have cheat days and I lost 53lbs.
-
Thanks everyone, you motivated me to just do it. Managed 40 mins, burned 270 calories. Sometimes I need a kick and a reminder of the accomplished feeling I get after a workout.
-
Yes, I weigh everything.

5'3" SW: 182 CW: 134 GW: 112 I'm eating around 1200 cals a day and exercising 5-6 days a week for 30-40 mins.

1lb. Before I bought my bike I was losing 0.5lb a week just dieting but for the last 2 weeks I've lost 1lb per week.
-
I don't have much time to exercise today but will double my exercise tomorrow if that will help.
-
I'm still a bit confused. I've built a recipe but am not sure what the meal is in grams? My portion is always smaller than my boyfriends so how do I accurately log my portion? I can obviously weigh my portion but how to I log how many grams it is?
-
I found an app, is that it?

I just think about how I look vs how I want to look. I'm not really unhappy with how I look but I think about how I will feel when I step on the scales and see that I've reached my goal weight. Also I think about the accomplished feeling I get after exercising.

Thank you. I think I'm being hard on myself, I know I'm doing well but my brain tells me it should be coming off faster.
-
I definitely don't go way over my calorie limit on my cheat day. I'll maybe stay around 1400-1500 maybe even a bit less than that.

2 years ago I lost 4 stone by doing what I'm doing now and didn't gain any of it back so it works fine for me. I only recently gained a little weight because I over indulged after moving in with my other half.
-
I'm staying around 1200. Sometimes going a little under, sometimes a little over (by about 20-60 cals). I haven't been weight training as I have no access to gym equipment.
-
I do try but only manage 2-3 glasses a day, I'm terrible at drinking water. I'm a tea drinker which I know probably isn't great.
-
0.5 - 1lb a week. I've only managed to lose 2 lbs in 30-ish days, but that was without exercise.
-
That seems like a healthy amount to lose in 2 weeks. If it comes of slowly then it's more likely to stay off. Just keep doing what you're doing and you will see the lbs come off. My weight loss fluctuated, I could go from losing 1 stone in just over a month to only losing a couple of lbs the next month.

It gets me sweaty and gets my heart rate going so I count it. I don't just push a hoover around btw, I use the hose/nozzle and vacuum the whole apartment like that.
-
The days I'm dipping below 1000 are usually the days we eat at my in laws house since I can't see what brands of food or what exactly they're cooking.

I'm 136 now. I want to be 126 or lower because that's where I feel comfortable. After losing weight I did get to 126 but since moving in with my other half, I put on a few extra lbs that I don't want.
-
Starting point was 138lbs and I'm 5'3". I do use a scale. I previously lost 4 stone (about 2 years ago) but put a few lbs back on. It's the excess that I'm trying to lose.
-
I should add that I lost all that weight about 2 years ago now. I'm currently trying to get to around 118 - 126.
-
Any other help would be great. I really think I need to start exercising. Does anyone have any at home cardio workout recommendations?
-
Unfortunately I can't afford to be too picky with what I eat. Processed food is a lot cheaper. Yes, I weight what I eat. I have previously lost 4 stone by not cutting foods out and just exercising daily on an exercise bike. I found that cutting out food that I ate daily didn't help at all.
-
My diary is open now. Unfortunately I don't have access to any exercise equipment at the moment.

Not sure what you mean.
