Back to square one, pretty devastated!
So about 6 years ago I was 183lbs, decided to lose weight, went down to 130lbs in 6 months and loved it. Some of the weight crept back on when I moved in with my other half, then I started a new job and more went on since I was going out to eat with friends etc. Then over the last year I developed severe depression and I…

Am I on track with this plan or switch it up?
I'm 5'3, 27 and I work 5 days a week. MFP has me at 1500 to lose 1lb a week. I'm going to the gym 4-5 days a week and doing about 50 mins of cardio with some lifting. I don't eat all of my exercise calories back either, today for example my goal is 1530, I've eaten 1513 and burned 450 cals at the gym. My net is 1063 cals.…

Ladies 5'2"-5'5" with 30lbs to lose: How often do you go to the gym and how many calories?
I'm trying to lose the 30lbs I've put on in the last year and I've joined a gym and am going 4 days a week and spending about an hour there. I've been eating around 1300-1500. Is this a good plan to stick to or should I switch it up?

Which fitness band to get?
I have started going to the gym and getting back into calorie counting. I have a Fitbit Flex which I used for a while but now I find myself charging it more than I'm wearing it. What's a decent fitness band that's not too expensive?
-
Can I trust the gym equipment?
I've finally started going to the gym as one has opened up 2 mins from where I work. It has equipment there that I can connect my phone to and it counts the time I do on each machine and the calories I burned. Today I did about an hour at the gym and it's put me at burning 426 cals. Can I trust this?

UK People: Anytime Fitness Gyms?
I've just signed up to my local Anytime Fitness Gym to hopefully sort myself out but I'm just wondering if anyone uses these gyms and what they are like?

Why am I so bad at this the second time round?
So a few years ago I went from 182lbs to 127lbs, I didn't have a lot going on in my life so I was dedicated (maybe even slightly obssessed with losing weight). I stayed that way for a while, I went up to about 130lbs and stayed there for ages. I then moved in with my other half and went up to 140lbs which I was ok with.…

Tips for staying on track?
Over the Christmas period I've put on about 20lbs, I've been trying to lose it since new year and I was doing well but then completely fell off the bandwagon and went back to eating badly. My biggest problem seems to be when I go out to eat with friends, after a night out I just lose control again! I'm back to calorie…

Weighing fresh vegetables
Should I weigh them uncooked or cooked? For example, tonight I made sweet potato fries. I weighed the potatoes and they weighed about 425g (this was between 2 people) so my portion would have been about 212g. When I weighed out my portion cooked, it weighed 125g. I oven baked them with no oil or anything.

Water weight?
I've been logging for 20 days now. I've gone from 156lbs to 151lbs in about a week or so. Is this just water weight I'm losing? I've been eating around 1200-1300 cals a day.

Going over calories by small amounts
Does it really matter too much if you exceed your calories by 20-70 sometimes? I try to stick close to my 1280 cals a day but sometimes go a little over. Will it hurt my progress a lot?

What would my activity level be?
I work in retail and am on my feet from 8am until 6:30pm 5-6 days a week.

Any losing weight with no exercise success stories?
I'm in need of some motivation! I've put on a lot of weight over the past year and am back on the band wagon. I've previously lost about 60lbs with diet and exercise but this time round I'm trying to lose with no exercise as I'm on my feet all day at work. I'm 5'3, wanting to lose 20lbs and am eating around 1300 cals a day.

Stuck in a horrible rut :(
I've been stuck in a rut lately and it's really getting me down! In the last 6 months I've gained loads of weight... I don't know how much exactly as I'm terrified to weigh myself. Last time I checked I was about 148lbs but I'm sure I'm more than that now. I got down to 126lbs but found my happy place at around 130-135lbs.…

People who don't have much to lose: do you exercise?
I'm 150lbs and want to lose 20lbs but I'm not sure I'll be able to do it without exercising. I currently don't have time to get to the gym and I have previously lost weight using my stationary bike but I've never tried to lose weight by just cutting calories. Is it possible when I only have 20lbs to lose?
-
I weigh more but my measurements are the same?
I used to weigh 133lbs last year, now I'm 144lbs but my measurements are the same. I haven't been lifting weights or exercising. The only thing that's different is that I'm on my feet and walking around for 10 hours at work.

Going the right way?
So these are snaps of my fitbit progress over the last two weeks. Am I in enough of a deficit? Shall I carry on the way I'm going? Week 1 of owning a fitbit: Week 2: I'm 5'3, 139.4lbs, 26 and my goal is 126lbs. I'm eating around 1200-1400 and exercising a few times a week. My fitbit has my TDEE to around 2000 calories.

So how much do I actually weigh?
On Saturday I weighed 139.4 gone down from 142. Today I weigh 141. I never seem to be the same weight. So did I actually lose weight? Do I go with the lowest weight that week?
-
Should I just keep doing what I'm doing?
MFP has me at 1390, I've sometimes been eating my exercise and fitbit calories back but not always, taking me to around 1600. I've been working out on a stationary bike a few times a week. I've only been at this for just over 2 weeks now and thought I wasn't seeing any progress because I over ate a few times last week with…

How should I log the calories in this kind of thing?
So say I have a packet of ramen noodles (not the healthiest I know) and the packet says the whole 100g dry packet is 87 cals but when you cook it it goes up to 500g. MFP has it as 100g and then as 500g but it multiplies the calories. So instead of 87 it says that it's 435. How much is actually in the packet?
-
Will going over my calories a couple of times wipe out my progress?
I've been eating around 1300 calories most days and exercising for 30-40 mins a few days a week, a couple of days last week I went out with friends and ate around 2000 calories. I'm 5'3, 142lbs and my fitbit says I burn around 2000 calories a day. Will those couple of days wipe my progress?
-
1390 enough to lose?
I'm 5'3, 142lbs and I want to get to 126. I've been eating around 1200-1300 and trying not to eat back the calories my fitbit gives me. My fitbit says I burn around 2000 cals 5 days a week from being on my feet all day at work so I adjusted my activity level on here to lightly active. Now MFP has me at 1390. Can I lose on…
-
How long until this starts to work?
I've been eating around 1300 calories a day, using a fitbit and occasionally exercising for nearly 2 weeks. I lost 0.6lb last week but now I'm back to where I was before. I know weight loss isn't linear etc. What's the max amount of time I should give this plan before I see proper results? I'm 26, 142lbs, 5'3" and wanting…
-
Can I lose weight with minimal workouts?
I've started to work out again doing 35-50 mins on a stationary bike 2-4 times a week. The thing is I'm on my feet all day at work and sometimes don't feel like working out when I get home. I'm eating around 1200 cals a day so can I still lose if I decide to not work out some days?
-
Will this plan work/enough of a deficit?
I'm 5'3, 142lbs, 26 and I want to get back to 126lbs. MFP has me on 1390 cals and I'm now working out on a stationary bike for 40-45 mins burning around 250-280 cals and not eating the exercise calories back. I would like to lose 1lb a week. My BMR is 1446 and TDEE is 1,861.

Confused about Fitbit calories
I bought the Fitbit Flex today but I'm confused about the calories I have remaining. I've logged what I've eaten today and what I'm having for dinner. MFP says I have 390 left for today but my Fitbit app says I only have 59 calories left, I'm confused as to why?

In need of serious motivation...
I've put on about a stone since last september. Going from 126lbs to 140lbs and I hate it so much, I need to get it back off again but I have no motivation. Where I work is right in between two fast food places so I find it so easy just to pop in and get a quick lunch. I then come home and feel so tired that I can't…

Going to the gym with a full time job.
Soo I really wanna start getting fit again, I've put on a few lbs since I've started my job which is ok but I'd like to get back to the weight I was before. I'd like to join a gym as I've never done that before, a few years ago I lost about 5 stone just by working out in my house but now I'm on my feet for almost 11 hours,…

Talk to me about fitbits
I'm really wanting one but I have no idea which to get. What's the difference between them all? I'm hoping that getting one will motivate me as all I want to do these days is eat. Especially since I work between a subway and mcdonalds so it's so easy just to go in a have lunch at one of them. :(

Anybody else feel big even when they're not over weight?
So I used to be 186lbs at 5'3". I got down to 126 at one point and now I'm at around 140 and I feel huge and frumpy even though I'm not technically over weight, I still feel it. I'm eating around 1600 a day but I'm not seeing a change. My measurements are currently 33-28-39. At one point I got down to 32-26-37. Should I…
