I stay away from grains because when I eat low carb, it helps control my appetite on a deficit. Now that that's clear that I'm not biased because I can't live without rice or something, I'd like to say grains aren't evil. A small number of people may have poor reactions to gluten, a protein found in wheat, and some others…

I do keto and have lost about 13 pounds on it. I really like it for appetite control, and since there were few carb sources that I really craved, I still get to eat my favorite foods! I'm transitioning into a slightly higher carb intake because ice cream, but most days I'm still in ketosis.

Great post and happy 15,000 Sara!

pretty much this. as your weight gets higher, it may get harder to grip. I also find the one over/one under helps with my form as it helps keep the bar closer to my shins for some reason.

Thread's a goner; post boobs.

I had this tonight too! though I did it a bit differently. I sautee the zucchini noodles in a pan with minced garlic. I would add butter if I wanted, but it really doesn't need it. You can add spinach too!

This is purely anecdotal. Everyone is different. After I have more carbs than usual, I'm back in ketosis by the next morning.

Listen to Sarauk2sf, she knows her stuff! I would also stay away from news sources like yahoo health. The writers there have caused a lot of misinformation.

I do low carb, high fat because it is the first diet I have been able to stick to. The amount of hunger control it gives me is empowering. I can eat one or two times a day or six times a day. I never get a sugar crash which is awesome. I never really craved sugary foods so it was pretty easy to do after a week of…

How. I get way too full after 2tbsp!

Melons make my heart go pitter-patter. ;)

Kielbasa and hot dogs with cheese! They are usually fully cooked so just reheat in a microwave!

finally a voice of reason in here! I also agree that the calories are too low for OP's stats. obviously why so many people die in their sleep

I got to the point 2-3 months into lifting where I could DL 163- my bodyweight at the time. Now I'm down 13lbs from there, but hoping to get back into lifting!

Ok hear me out people. Before you read any further, know that I only recommend this method for people who take the number on the scale with a grain of salt, realizing how much body weight can fluctuate. That being said, I weigh every day. Why do I do this? To get more data. To put it simply, if you weigh once a week, you…

this thread gives me faith in humanity :) My go-to fats are cream, butter, bacon grease, avocado, and cheeeeeeese. I'll have coconut oil when I can afford it . Not sure how to really use ghee/lard :(

My mom and sister are vegetarians who don't count calories, but feel like the lower the fat, the better. So sometimes I use low fat versions of things if they are in the fridge. It means I can eat more of it when I'm really hungry, but generally it's just full-fat for me. Fat is not your foe, even on a diet, as long as you…

Diary open! Would love some new low carb friends :)

Maybe this is a sign that I should get off my butt and go for a run.

Forever using this metaphor.

Love this post. Though I'd prefer the title to be "Let people judge you." Judgement is inevitable. We all do it to some degree. The key is not to care. Don't avoid doing things you want to do just to escape judgement. I've recently recovered from social anxiety, which is basically a fear of being judged by others. I'd like…

I really hate cake, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, chocolate ice cream, and regular soda.

I believe you were looking for exercises that don't require a gym. Someone here recommended "You Are Your Own Gym" and I'd just like to second that :)
