Bipolar 2 here. I was diagnosed at 16 years old. My weight tends to swing up and down depending on my mood and motivation. I stopped taking meds for quite a few years and went through major issues. Now I'm on lamictal to even out my moods and it's done wonders, but it seems like it's harder for me to lose the weight.…

Running, martial arts and weight lifting are my go to exercises. I also do belly dancing, but that's more for fun. It's a great ab workout though.

Haha well, the good news is that it has healed since I broke it in August. It still gives me some pain, but nothing I can't live with. Thanks for all the advice though and the marathon thing! That's basically what I did....and now I have 4lbs to work off again.

I have the fitbit flex. One of the best things I have ever found for me, although it makes me feel lazy. It shows me how many steps I've walked, I can link it to myfitnesspal and update and set goals. It has a sleep mode to track my sleep activity. Definitely worth the $100.

Thank you! I'll start looking.

Oh trust me, I'm feeling it haha. I am using muscles in my arms and core that I didn't know I had.

I'm not sure whether I can or not, but I will check with my doctor. Thank you!

I've done martial arts for years. If anything, it has taught me control. The discipline of martial arts isn't to get into a fight or act on violent tendencies. It is to know how to fight and use those skills in real situations should they ever arise. In my schooling, I was taught that we are to fight only when it is…

Altogether I have lost close to 40lbs now and I haven't used the gym. I would love to get a membership for rock climbing and weight lifting since I just don't have room in my house for a rock wall or a bunch of weight machines, but it's not in my budget as of yet. The track at the highschool is free, the parks are free. A…

My biggest obstacle currently is my lack of patience with it. I want it to happen right now. That and my addiction to sugar...mmm....sugar.

Last year, I was Alice from Alice in Wonderland. This year, I'll be Princess Jasmine. So excited!

25 here. I have been diagnosed with scoliosis, degenerative joint disease, and facet arthritis. Never thought I would be young and feel like I'm pushing 100, but here I am. Ended up in physical therapy after rupturing a disc in my back. You're definitely not alone!!

I have 4 hours left of this shift and the ER is relatively quiet, the food I will get to eat here in about a half hour and the fact that I will get to run tomorrow!

I haven't had a soda since the last time I logged one in my food diary. It's hard. Very hard. The temptation is still there, but it's getting easier. I noticed the more water I drink, the more my body craves it. It is starting not to want the soda nearly as much as water. The first week, I would get terrible headaches. Now…

Hi! New to the group. I am 25 and was just recently diagnosed with mild scoliosis. According to the doctor, the most likely reason I have the curve is that my left leg is about 1 inch shorter than my right. It sets me off kilter and my body has tried to correct it for a long time, giving me my topsy turvy spine. Pretty…

Currently a nocturnal worker(7pm-7am x 4 days a week). I completely understand your situation. I try to squeeze exercise in on my days off and make sure I'm eating well by packing everything I eat and bringing it with me. So much easier than the guilt trip of the vending machine. A lot of the time, I'll try and walk the…

Hi there!! I'm pretty new on here. I've had an account but just got serious about this. I'd be more than happy to be a weight loss buddy. I have scoliosis and arthritis which limits a lot of what I can do. For now, I'm beginning with small exercises that physical therapists use. If you have access to water, that may also…
