  • I've done the same thing but you can easily fill it with things like eggs, nuts, dairy, avocado, olive oil and peanut butter =)
  • I was in the same boat. A much as this may sound like the WRONG thing to do, it is the RIGHT thing.... YOU NEED TO EAT MORE! Eat at least 1200 calories a day + at LEAST half your exercise calories (or all of them!) Yep. You are far too much under what you should be consuming. You may also want to check your macro's. MFP…
  • 75g salted peanuts>>>>> almonds (better for you) 125g crunchy peanut butter>>>>> lower calorie variety 125g butter>>>>>>>>> half butter, half fat free phili spread cheese 75g unrefined caster sugar, plus a little extra for rolling the biscuits>>>>sugar substitute 100g light soft brown sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or…
  • My guy does it! He's amazing. We don't have kids though. The only thing I can complain about is the amount of time the television is on, the amount of sport that is watched and the fact that he doesn't drink (not even a glass of wine with me over dinner which some people would say is a good thing!) I'm a lucky girl
  • This has happened to me too. I've been stuck at the same weight give or take 2 pounds since July!! Through the forums and research I've found out that the more weight we lose or the closer we get to goal, the harder it is to lose weight. There are a number of reasons for this: *our bodies get 'used' to the calorie…
  • Love that pole dancing bunny!!! Hilarous!
  • It's more like a structured cheat day where you eat OVER your maintenance calories (scary I know!) This is said to 'kick' start your metabolism into high gear. I would have been worried about trying this before but after having been on holidays for a week and eating above maintenance ALL week and only being up 1.7Ib 3 days…
  • Hmmm I think you're right about it working for different people. Might not be the best for a group challange. Just for interest though- In the articles I've been reading, the research states that refeeds can be beneficial for people who have been at an intense calorie deficiency (500 calories+ per day) for 4+ months and…
  • I'd make sure my breakfast was a little more substantial. At least 300 cals. Try and incorporate a protein. Feel free to add me and ask for some ideas if you need to =) Also... make sure you eat back your exercise calories. The more exercise you do, the more energy you burn, the more food you need! This will help to keep…
  • I know there is a lot of money floating around in the world and yet many thousands upon thousands are dying and die from starvation in East Africa and other parts of the world. 2.3 million children are severly malnourised in just East Africa RIGHT NOW! This ISN'T even a disease and could be CURED with money and resources.…
  • Vsetter.... (and everyone else!) What do you think about introducing a refeed day? Scary...but I've been reading up on them since getting back from my holiday. Many of us have been on restricted calories for quite some time. After eating myself stupid for a whole week and then 3 days later being back to my normal weight it…
  • Hmmm... dunno. I've always been the slow eater in my family and my sister the fastest. Guess whose the thinnest? Not me but I sure am working on it  I like to be the last one eating. It would feel weird if I finished first. What would I do? Prolly eat more. Lol.
  • Ewwwwwwwwwwwww gross! Mmmmm... anyone now feel like bacon?
  • Bahahaha... ideally- 1. Chorizo 2. Spag Bol 3. Chicken Snitzel 4. Wine 5. Cheese
  • Too funny! 1.Red onion 2. Lettuce (Aha! So that's why I've been losing weight lol) 3. Eggs 4. Milk (which I've sworn off now for the last 3 months and it's still there!) 5. Cherry tomatoes
  • I too stuggled with this and still do, to a certain degree. I started with having smoked salmon on homemade pizza (goats cheese, onion, low fat sour cream-yum!) and moved to having it just on toast with some philli, red onion and capers. I now also eat grilled salmon. My hubby makes it perfect! Have you tried tuna? I've…
  • No idea on the surgery but I too am curious. With the weight fluctuating- maybe it's what she's eating or failing that a thyroid issue?
  • I could have just done this ^^^ Lol.
  • I think if you tell anyone they can't do something EVER AGAIN then you're just asking for trouble because that's the first thing the want to do!! Eating with MFP works the same way LOL. The shoe was on the other foot with my guy and me. I moved in with him after 2 months of dating (first guy I've lived with and been…
  • Really? 30 day SHRED did that? You look great. I started 30 day Shred but it felt like I wasn't working anything so I ditched it! Maybe I should give it another go? Start on level 2 or something. I've heard good things about TurboFire too.
  • Easy to bump up the cals! Eat a handful of nuts! They are good for you and high in calories. Spread some avocado on the bread that you're eating, add an egg to your dinner, have a slice of cheese or drink a glass of milk. The aim is to keep the metabolism moving so that your weight loss wont stall =)
  • Oh and ps. Eating clean is so damn hard! So much time and dedication is needed!! I still like to eat my bit of chocolate or gluten free museli bar or have an occasional glass of beer/wine. I don't think that makes me unhealthy, just normal =)
  • Milk. I now have soy or almond. If I drink milk now, it actually bloats me and makes me feel sick! I also try to stick to goats or sheep cheese and yoghurt although that's not ALWAYS the case ;-)
  • Okay...I'm back! What did I miss? Hope everyone nailed the challange. I was unable... well let's say reluctant to do the challange because I had my roadtrip with my hubby down the cost. After a week of holidays and gorging myself on food (sometimes 2000+ calories a day which is ridiculous coming from someone who has been…
  • I also tried every diet under the sun. The I turned 30 and decided... why the hell shouldn't I do this for me? I wanted to be skinner AND healthier. The beauty of MFP... it's not a diet! You can eat anything! It just teaches you about portion control and calories. My weapon for success is organisation. 1. Plan out your…
  • Hi! I'm 5 foot 3 and currently 123Ib. I'm finding the last few pesky pounds so hard to lose!! My ideal weight is 116Ib.
  • The more you weigh, the more you burn because your body is heavier and therefore has to work harder! Great job!
  • Take your food from home and no money. Than you CAN'T get it. If you buy your lunch, take the exact amount of money for that =)
  • If you have, lots of left overs building up. skip making a whole new dinner for the family on the following night. Just have a left over dinner night or at least try and incoporate the left overs into the next dinner meal. Failing that, freeze it or have it for lunch. I never bin anything. We make excuses for over eating…
