My work lunches are the envy of my office. We have a toaster oven so I'm able to make roast chicken, brussels sprouts and other veg. I typically make a large batch of rice or potatoes at home and bring in portions for my work lunch as my carb. Mason jar salads are good too, and very versatile. As someone else mentioned,…

I'm 5'10". I don't recall how many calories I was eating for loss, but my maintenance is 2040 cals. I'm also hypothyroid.
-
I don't know most of my background....what the heck am I supposed to eat? I feel so left out.
-
This. Although if you have only machines available to you, it's better than nothing.

ROFL touche my friend

I am not good at receiving compliments. I don't know why, it just makes me uncomfortable. It's not just compliments about my appearance, it's anything really. I always say thank you but I have a hard time accepting compliments gracefully.

A new item of clothing. Wait, are we supposed to stop the rewards system once we are maintaining? Shhhhh, don't tell my hubby

You should market this new diet of yours. Call Dr. Oz and figure out how to put it in pill form. You'll be a millionaire! edited for spelling fail

Lately I've really been liking 2-3 chopped dates in my oats. If I need extra calories I will also add some hemp hearts.
-
Oh no....I can relate. Baby wipes. Trust me.

OK so I finally caught the end of the first episode I'd missed, and watched the second one. I really hope it's successful because I think it's great! Scully and Mulder have just as much chemistry as before. Love it!

I seem to recall another thread where someone said they graffiti "go vegan" when they're on vacation. Does that fall under the don't ask, don't tell policy?
-
I would think the gas would kill you, yes. Boiled eggs and oats every day? My gas would be absolutely noxious!
-
OP, care to check back after the weekend and let us know how it goes?
-
@BecomingBane is one of the nice Vegans ;)
-
Oh wow. That's some nerve! Unfortunately, there are quite a few fanatical ones around here. I agree with your in that I like Vegans, I just don't like the attacks.

I love these: rubbermaid.com/en-US/lunchblox%E2%84%A2 bonus is that they come with a reusable ice pack that snaps right on to the containers.

Great book. The zucchini lasagne is labour intensive but worth it. It freezes well too.

I love success stories! Thanks for sharing. Congrats on your success, you look very healthy and happy.

I'd wondered when you'd enlighten us with your knowledge. There's another thread going on right now by a woman who lost 275lbs. An MFP friend of mine has lost 350lbs. There's plenty of people on MFP who have lost significant weight via various methods. They must not be dedicated because they didn't do it with Ketosis.

I wouldn't call it a fad, just another means to lose weight via CICO. It's not for me but it works for a lot of people.
-
I know you're trying to be helpful but that's not going to help someone with anxiety an depression. It's not simply a matter of "cheering up"

Sounds like you've overcome a lot in your short life. Weight loss, by comparison, will not be nearly as difficult as what you've already accomplished. Exercise will be great for your mood but it's not necessary for weight loss. Others have mentioned online videos, which are great. You may like a kettle bell workout or…

As for non prescription drugs, I don't know, except maybe Vitamin D. SAD/blue light and regular exercise works wonders for me. Other than that, I have to say that there's no shame in going on medication. It's changed my life. You may also consider therapy. After I was involved in a fatal car crash last year, I went for…

Partial thyrodectomy here, 2005. As long as your medication is stable, you can do it!

I don't carry water unless I'm out for more than 2 hours. As others have said, hydrate before not during.

Of all the dietary restrictions, I imagine sodium would be the toughest. Is it possible to book into hotels with a kitchenette so you can prepare your meals yourself? It might take some getting used to but eating out must make it really difficult to keep your sodium under control.

Oh my...I can't even imagine the toll that's taken. How wonderful that he's in remission! Take care of yourself mama!

I love them! I love them roasted in the oven. If you have some extra calories, fry them up with a bit of bacon or pancetta.
