Do you often have that conversation with tattooed people? FTR, not offended, just sharing my story.

I'm a little late to the party, mind if I join?
-
I have tattoos. They have deep personal meaning to me. I got my first one when I beat thyroid cancer, and the second one to commemorate realizing my dream of becoming a mom despite years of infertility. They're hidden on my body because they're just for me, to remind me of these milestones. So I guess I'm not unique…

I love my TRX. There are some very challenging moves and routines, tons of them on Youtube. Would recommend.

Nice post! BTW San Diego is amazing. One of our favourite places for a family vacation. You're so lucky to live there.

Mmmmm tangy home made yogurt. I also have a yogurt maker. I think it was $25 on sale and included the jars and strainer. The instructions are easy to follow. Instead of yogurt starter I use freeze-dried yogurt starter, which I find more convenient. I like Yogourmet starter best.

+1 I'd like to add that I suspect OP's discomfort is more emotional than physical. I remember walking into a class when I was obese, definitely the largest person there. It took everything I could muster to focus and stay in class to the end. Afterward I went to my car and cried. I vowed to go back if for no other reason…

Download the Couch to 5k app. Great program that will take the guess work out of running.
-
Have you heard of Couch to 5km? You can download the app and it will guide you through a gradual program. Many people on here have had great success with it. Don't worry about your speed right now. Work on your endurance and the rest will come.

I imagine the first class would be very awkward and confusing, trying to follow everyone else. I've been in that situation a few times. I would encourage you to go outside of your comfort zone and finish out the month. Once you get the moves down and build up some confidence, you may actually enjoy yourself. And if not, at…

OMG I love bleu cheese dressing. Yum. I usually just make my own dressing with EVOO, lemon juice, a bit of seasoning salt, pepper, dill. Shake well and it will last about a week in the fridge

1 hour? Holy cow! Not sure how you'd log that since TRX workouts vary greatly in their intensity.

The PT who trains out of our staff gym. I used to train with her until she and I had a little FB tiff over her fat-shaming. She's a total bag and her attitude stinks. Every time I see her in the gym, which is often, she gives me a nasty look. I actually find it pretty amusing since I've made huge strides since doing my own…

I realize this is a zombie thread, but WOW! OP, please check back in and let us know how you're doing now?

Wine is horrible. It's poison. I will PM you with my address so you can ship all of your wine to me and I will properly dispose of it for you. ETA: I still drink wine. Quit a bit over the weekend actually. My trick has been to bank my calories so I have room for it.

I have a bit of a Tupperware fetish, so I have to admit that all those neat little containers appeal to me. I think the program is better than most in terms of focusing on portion control rather than a magic pill, but it still doesn't truly teach you how to weigh and measure foods for the long term. I assume you won't be…

We have a few dietary restrictions here in our office, so we ask the caterer to label the "special" orders with the person they belong to. Problem solved for next time. Meantime as for today's incident, I would wander around the office for the rest of the day and passive-aggressively whine that I was going to pass out from…

When I'm running outside, nothing. When I'm in the gym I stream Rock the Block on Spotify. I have no idea why because I don't normally listen to rock music.
-
Yes. Yes you can. Easily. That being said, I have run on ice wearing Yak Trax over my shoes. I think only idjits would consider running on ice with regular shoes.
-
You okay John? Feeling a little warm and fuzzy today?

Consignment stores! You can find some really great stuff in consignment stores.

Me too. Shocked. This doctor has obviously found a cure for cancer, he should get the Nobel prize! He's been able to solve the mystery that scientists have been working on for decades! Maybe he should tackle AIDS next. A vegan diet should do the trick.

+1 Winners has great stuff. I recently purchased a pair of Nike tights that I adore. Old Navy's stuff is really good too. Decent quality for the price.

If this thread offends you, you may wish to avoid the MFP boards. BTW none of those things you mentioned burns any significant amount of calories, which was the OPs question...
-
Shame on you, stealing that poor horse's hard-earned calories! JK. Serious answer - nope, don't bother logging any calories.

This thread is pure gold.

It totally depends on your personality in my opinion. For the "all or nothing" folks, it seems to be better to totally avoid problem foods until you're at your goal weight and then gradually add back in. For some people this seems like torture. It sounds like maybe you haven't decided yet what works for you. Maybe give it…

I laughed at this only because I went into F21 last week and had a moment of clarity that I am no longer able to shop in that store (I'm 39). As to their fitness wear, I haven't tried it, but did you know that Victoria's Secret has active wear and it's AMAZING!!

Really? Please don't look at my diary, you'd be shocked at what I've been able to eat and still lose 65 lbs without buying in to a restrictive diet not based upon science. If people feel that they need to be super strict in order to reach their goals, fine. I get that. But it's not the ONLY way. Many people on MFP have…

I was just going to say the same thing. I'm usually the one who has the drool-worthy lunches in my office. I still managed to lose 65lbs :)
