You seem worried that you don't know the amount of calories you really need? Maybe you should invest in a HRM watch and monitor a few general days for yourself to see what the average calories you use in an entire day is. Then you will know around the amount you would need to maintain. Or you can just use a general guide…

I don't go by MFP any more my calories are always way different to what is stated. I use my Polar FT4 heart rate monitor. I find it so much easier to not have to worry about the difference. I'm 5'3 btw.

So I gained weight really steadily throughout my first and second trimesters. Once I hit third trimester I started gaining around 4lbs a week then at around 35 weeks I started gaining around 7-8lbs a week. Turns out I had severe Oedema (Swelling - water weight) because I had pre-eclampsia. I put on 90lbs. Most women have…

Ahh yes that does make so much more sense! I don't know what I was thinking. Ha ha. Thank you!

I was pregnant! I had pre-eclampsia. I just basically ate all day long. Not always unhealthy. The main things I craved and ate were: Chocolate soy milk, sweet potato, garlic bread, pizza, any type of Mexican food, sandwiches with tuna tomato avocado and cheese, ice cream, frozen yoghurt, tim tams, macaroni cheese, lots of…

When I lost weight before having my son I didn't have this problem so I didn't even know it happened! Since having my son about 1 week before my period starts I gain about 1kg (2.2lbs)! It's taken 1.5 weeks since my period starting to lose that kilogram again! It's like I'm taking a 2 steps forward and one step back every…

I was getting those comments when I got to my goal weight before I had my son. I actually miss it! I know I was at a really healthy weight, they just weren't used to seeing me that small. If you're used to someone being a larger size since you've known them when they lose weight they are going to look really thin to you.…

Have you logged a day of your usual eating before? It might be a good idea to do that and then start by taking calories away a few days at a time. You don't want too much of a huge change as you might have trouble sticking with it. If you don't think you would have any trouble though 1200-1400 should be okay. Edit: oh yep…

Agreed, my son was actually born with a cow's milk protein allergy so...

I haven't gone through all of the answers here so I'm not sure that anyone has suggested it. But would you be able to get a wii and wii fit board? There is some yoga, strength and cardio exercises on the wii game and there are a number of other games which would definitely get you moving as well. If that doesn't sound like…

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby. I had pre-eclampsia.. My pre pregnancy weight was 58kg (128lbs) and I am 5'3. I ended up with sever oedema, elevated liver enzymes and everything else that comes with Pre-E. I ended up getting induced and had a Mag Sulphate drip along with pitocin and syntocin, oxygen, stat…

I'm pretty sure Laughing Cow is the brand of Babybel. Personally I love both though haha. I just eat the triangles or the mini babybel rounds by themselves :)

I'm 5'3 but I was a little over my goal when I fell pregnant in Nov 2011. I am 147 now I was 127 back then and my goal this time around is 110-120. I'm Australian so I just had to go convert sizes but I'm a 12AU (8US)... I was a size 10AU (6US) at 127lbs but my goal size is an 8AU (4US) and I'm hoping I will be in that…

I'm a fair bit younger than that ha ha. But I'd guess you're 25 but I can't see your face from your profile picture!

Before I was pregnant and lost weight I had some loose skin on my stomach. I found that nothing seemed to work to make it any tighter. Now that I've had my son it is 10x worse after slowly making it closer to my pre-pregnancy weight. I had never heard of that firming product you had mentioned though. I guess there is no…

I went to Uni not college although I don't really know what the difference is. But I have a Bach of Science (Psychology) and I'm studying Alcohol and Drugs as post grad.

I spent a lot of the year prior to falling pregnant losing weight. So I knew exactly what I needed to do and I have been really determined to get back down to my pre pregnancy weight. I exclusively pumped breast milk for my son for the first 4.5 months and I think that really helped. I had pre eclampsia so the first 18kg I…

I put on 90 pounds during my pregnancy due to pre-eclampsia and severe oedema. Within 6 weeks of giving birth after being induced early I lost 40lbs. I had to express milk due to a lot of problems we had. But I did that up until a few weeks ago. Now that I've stopped I'm losing weight more slowly. I have lost 30lbs since 6…

Hey :) I will add you. I have a 5 and a half month old. I've lost 71.6lbs in that time and I have 18.7lbs to go. I live in Australia! Good luck.
