My guy typically pays for dinner whenever we go out, and I'll leave the tip. I am the one who buys the movie passes for 'date night', so it works out. He's also much more well off than me.

Yes! I want to have 'mild' definition, I would say more toned than muscular. Otherwise I'm definitely "skinny-fat", and no matter how little I weighed I'd still look big.

Count me in! I need someone to virtually kick my lazy butt when I don't wanna go to the gym. ;)

At about 13 pounds down and I can JUST squeeze into the one size smaller pair of pants that I bought for 'inspiration.' It was incredibly discouraging, I know weight loss takes time but of course I want to see results. My current jeans fit, just not in the butt. At all. But if I keep up at it I'll be fitting comfortably…

At our work, collectively, one the statements we hate to hear is "Well, Dr. Oz said...."

I have people telling me that right now I look like "a head on sticks" which is clearly not true with my weight. Sure, I'm thinner than I was, but in no way enough to warrant that comment. (Just check out my BMI, I'm barely hovering in the healthy range!) I think a lot of it has to do with them not doing something about…

I started using the Wal*Mart version of mio to encourage myself to drink more water. I know it's not "pure" water but it is a lot better for me than the cans upon cans of diet Coke I was consuming.

Upset? I'd eat. Happy? I'd eat. Bored? I'd eat. Repeat cycle until weight became a big problem.

That's horrible! =( You're at the gym trying to better yourself, you shouldn't be ridiculed. For me, it was when I fell off the treadmill when running. (Yeah, it happened.)

All in the delivery. When I told my ex I wanted to lose weight his response was "Good, maybe then you'd actually be attractive."

Not food, but excuses. I now force myself to get up and do my workout.

Once a week, typically on Friday. I used to weigh in daily but the "non-moving numbers" were starting to bug me.

Thank you for an actual answer. =)

Which method do most people use to calculate? One site told me 17.8 (I *know* that is not true) and another told me 65% (.....wishfully thinking that isn't the case.) I know calipers are most accurate, but I only have a tape measure currently.

Thanks everyone. I'd always been told as soon as you wake up you have to eat. I like to workout right when I wake up or I know I won't later, so I typically eat after that, so usually an hour after waking up.

This. I'll also turn my webcam on and record how I look at that moment. I have a folder of a couple of these and look back at them for motivation, typically watching the first one and the most recent so I can see how far I've come. Seeing all of me from all angles is much worse than just a picture, and much better…

Honesty and self-control! One of my bosses is an awesome baker, always bringing in new goods for us to try. Our regular customers often buy us a bag of candy to keep around the office. I've started bringing my own snacks every day, even if I don't now if I'll be hungry. This way once those offers come around I can turn it…

I feel that, a lot of time, when people say you look to skinny it's because they either aren't used to your new size or are uncomfortable with themselves. (And I'm the same height as you, I'd love to look like that!)

Haha, mine's getting books and cologne! And he asked for the books!

There is nothing I love more than my slow cookers! I am mildly obsessive and have three different sizes.

This is one of my biggest problems, rewarding myself with food or only looking forward to food. For me, I attempt to plan my meals out for the day. When I get excited to eat something it's usually something healthier now because I have either already bought or prepared it and don't have the time/money to eat something…

I have tried the slim fast diet way too many times, at least a few times a year for the past 5 years. I, personally, could not stick to it. I'd be good for 2 weeks or so, losing weight and feeling good. But I LIKE to eat, and even tho I did find the shakes filling, I was always looking for something to snack on. I'd drink…

I guess the only way to deal with it is to grin and bear it. I would just take the "one" cookie but I know sweets are a trigger for me. One turns into 2...then 3...and a total downward spiral. I like the idea of saying not right now but I will later. I could always just take one "for the road" type of thing, but not…

I'm not a pharmacist but I do work as a tech, and none of my pharmacists have a positive view on it. We were reading the side effects and it just seemed terrifying and not worth it.

Thank you!

I'm currently a D cup and at my lowest weight they were still about a C.

Thanks, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who had dealt with this. I just hate when they say "you don't need to lose weight" when I have an "estimated BMI of 24.9 and do need to lose some weight. I feel rude saying something like that tho when they are all significantly bigger than I am, so I always just say I'm…

I do have a question. If my TDEE is "estimated" to be 1778, what would be a healthy number of calories for me to aim for to lose fat? It being finals time at college the only workout I am doing is the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels in the morning due to it being a "quick" workout. Sorry if this isn't where to post this.

His mom seems to take it as a personal attack. Which I find weird, since she just lost 20 lbs on her diet! I mean, I'm a lot smaller than anyone in their immediate family, so I wonder if it has something to do with that. But you are right, I really shouldn't worry about her opinion as long as I know I'm being healthy.
