What a cool intro to a group. I had to drop and say hi. I did really good, dropped 20+, somehow it all came back. I shouldn't say somehow as I know what happened, but I don't like that it did. I am back on track again and working to improve me.

My advice - don't worry about the milestone. Just focus on maintaining and then gradually move further. Look at your current habits and triggers. I keep a log of what goes well and what throws me off the rails. I have found this to be the most helpful for me to keep on track.

I hear you - it would be so much nicer to see things melting off faster. Just remember everyone is different. MFP told me to stick to 1800 calories per day. Gotta add you, about the same age, same goals, just one kiddo (kindergarten). I have found success by just taking little steps, and of course paying attention to what one should be doing instead of doing whatever feels right.

Awesome, I'll join. I know I won't lose it all via Wii Fit but I have a lot of fun with my son playing the games and I can always use more motivation. :)

I agree on the personal satisfaction, but a little pat on the back never hurts either. I have been trying to come up with a good goal for myself but nothing really appeals. I think this is where I crave help from others, maybe their praise should be a good enough goal / reward.

I know the feeling - motivation and accountability are what I seem to be lacking. I need to be pushed, but at least right now I feel pushed in the right direction. :)

I hear you and I have struggled on this front too. My advice is to just cut back a little bit, then a little more. I actually buy soda in bulk so I only have a certain number for the week and if I run out, then I know I am stuck. This has helped me portion them out. Anyone who says "just don't do it" is a fool. This was me too. I was looking at way too much sugar (3 20 oz sodas a day will do that). I cut back to just one and it is hard at times, but I know it's more of a requirement than an option.
