I also can't get very low. I'm pretty out of shape and overweight though. :l

I did the same thing. I quit after day 6. :l Starting again tomorrow.

I have UC, also. I try to eat low residue foods as much as possible. My diary should be open if you want to see what I eat.

I try to eat at least half of them back. You need to fuel your body.

You may want to up your calories since you are burning calories with lifting. I always try to eat at least half of my exercise calories. I'm not sure of your BMR, but 1,200 is pretty low as it is.

You can't spot reduce fat. A calorie deficit will burn fat all over, though.

I've only been at it a month or so but I am definitely sleeping better. Also, I have more energy and better moods.
