the ones I make are a combo of coconut oil (melted),raw shredded coconut, nut butter(almond is my fav),coconut butter and cream cheese(this can be omitted though). Melt oil and coconut butter over a bain marie(hot water bath)so u don't destroy the good aspects of the oil/butter with direct heat. In another bowl, add in the…

It will depend on the caveman philosophy you are listening to the most here is the link to the "how to eat"according to Mark's Primal Blueprint http://www.marksdailyapple.com/definitive-guide-to-the-primal-eating-plan/#axzz2Yw4A2yJW Personally,I follow the 5% carbs,60% fat and 35% protein. I workout with a trainer for two…

using the actual whole 30 website is always a good starting point recipes, info, etc http://forum.whole9life.com/forum/25-recipe-sharing/ A lot of paleo sites will have whole 30 approved counted in there recipes

when I did the whole 30(actually 45)last August,it took me a good 2 weeks to feel better on an energy level. I have heard lots of people complain that after a month, they still had low energy. The boards on the site for whole 30 was really beneficial for me.Maybe ask around there and see what others are saying.…

you can buy coconut butter on amazon.co.uk as well as https://www.highernature.co.uk/Products/coconut-butter I had a great local health food store in Belfast and was always able to get all coconut products there. It's also quite easy to make your own(and far cheaper). http://www.greenpasturefarms.co.uk these guys do all…

the main thing I notice when I am in a ketogenic state (fat burning mode)is a very bad urine smell, which is ammonia like. Also, there is a death breathe that can come as well. As for feeling shaky and hyped I would think it would be caffeine sensitivity. I know that when I am in ketosis,I am SUPER caffeine sensitive.I can't…

When I can't be arsed making a breakfast,I have greek yogurt, raw shredded coconut, cinnamon, fresh berries and a cereal we have in Canada called holy crap..it has chia seeds, nuts, dried fruit and something else I can't think of right now..sometimes you just don't want a heavy morning.

it is possible to test negative for coeliac disease (just so you know). I had a quick look at your food diary for a few days and would think paleo/primal could be a very good I would say that a whole 30 is the best starting point. It eliminates all the stuff that could be causing you problems and then you are…

I think you will be hard pressed to find any grass fed butter in Canada(I'm here in Canada as well). The same applies here,I can get kerry gold cheeses but not butter. It's frustrating but it's just the way it is here. Organic butter just means the cows were fed organic grains. If you clarify your butter it's the better…

and here is the quote from Mark Sisson 7. Tempeh Here’s where soy gets healthy (finally!). Fermented soy products are rich in isoflavones, which are excellent for the heart and may even prevent cancer. The good news is that you can find fermented soy milk and tofu if you look for it (and grocery stores will often start…

I drink tonnes of water and only water as my liquid source. I do take magnesium in the form of natural calm but I don't take it everyday.I will start taking it after my workouts and recovery days. Potassium is not a problem and thanks for comments

I am going to look into l-glutamine and see if it might work.I do have digestion issues(quite severe)and it seems it could help with that as well. Thanks

My workouts are high intensity based and last 45-55 mins twice per week. I only drink water and lots of it..before,during and after working out. I am with the trainer and I am well warmed up before things get intense but I have been wondering if we are doing enough with cooling down. Thanks for the feedback

FAT BOMBS!! Google them, there are too many to mention. I make ones with coconut oil, coconut butter, raw coconut, nut butter and small amount of cream cheese. They are amazing and really good if u need a fat snack

I had been eating ketogenic primal for 3.5 months and then fell off the wagon with sugar for 6 days. I don't eat nightshades and have white rice very rarely. I would say I eat 98% primal. I do know this last sugar binge was a major part of my recovery issues from a recent workout but this has been an ongoing battle of…

I do get out for walks but thinking they may need to be longer. Thanks for the input

almond milk?depends on the type of recipe..if it's supposed to thicken almond milk probably wouldn't work but if it's just for liquid then go for it. There are many different types of milk substitutes:cashew, hemp, flax. The main thing is to find them without an added sweetener.

thanks for the ideas.I have been with the trainer for about 7-8 weeks.I figured at this point it would be getting easier..she thinks the issues come with the way I eat...I think I must just be that out of shape that it's taking longer.. I did low carb before and exercised and my recovery was never this bad..maybe I need…

If you can find artisana, they do a lot of raw nut butters as well as amazing coconut butter and coconut oil. I make my own..super easy roast raw nuts and put into food processor..process to desired consistency and add salt (if u like).Much better than anything coming out of the jars

depending on how u react to certain foods will determine how u feel the next day..if I were to eat real pizza I woul be very ill and it would take me at least a week to recover.I don't think it's worth it. there are great paleo versions of pizza, here is one example..it's not the same, for me it's better!…
