I have loved my fitbit zip, until a car ran it over yesterday after it fell off of me while running. I am going to try the fitbit one now, and I like what I am reading about it. It is an excellent tool and works great with MFP.

Hello all, my name is Cassie and I am from Northwest Minnesota. I am currently at 196 after losing about 20lbs. My goal is to get down to 160 or so. I love giving and recieving motivation and support! Sometimes I want to be lazy, but I remind myself this is a journey, a long one that will change me forever, for the better!
-
I am in, I would love to try this with support!
-
How much did you lose those first 4 months of only calorie monitoring and diet adjustments?
-
You are amazing and an inspiration to all overweight women trying to change and run, really RUN!!! You look great, but I bet you FEEL even better!!
-
Agree! The music really sets the tone for my workouts. I need to build myself a playlist to help me get to the end!
-
the more you do it, the more you see you are capable of!! good luck and see you around!

Good job to everyone, this isn't easy!! I went for W6 D1 just a bit ago and it didn't turn out so good. :frown: My W5D3 was Monday evening, and I thought my calf soreness would be better and I'd be ready. I was SO wrong. I made it just over halfway and called it quits because I was in pain even walking. Honestly, I feel OK…

the more the merrier!!! From what i have learned myself and read on here, running 3x a week with rest days is the best way to go. Are you using the couch 2 5K app though? I think week 6 is going to be a piece of cake!! But I have done W6D1 about 4 times because I couldn't finish W5D3. All I can see now is forward progress!!
-
That's awesome, 3 of us on week 6!! I feel pretty bad *kitten*, and you guys are too!! Probably not attempting until end of the week because I am super sore and I will be putting in longer days at work all week.

Did W5 D3!!!!!!!! Huge accomplishment, as I had skipped it before and moved to week 6. Tonight, I DID IT!!!!!!!!!! And it is hugely thanks to you on here who have given me great advice. I SLOWED DOWN!!! I could hardly believe it as I neared 20 minutes, I was tearing up on the treadmill and did drop a tear on the drive home…

High Fives to everyone that has found running and are improving themselves!! It feels great to really push yourself and reap the rewards!!

You have done an amazing job! You must feel wonderful!

I guess I could slow down a little more, IF I can't make my goal on Sunday. LOL :) I am looking for some advice or opinions on my bilateral calf pain. It feels muscular and starts after my runs, but today it was bad enough that I stopped during walking about 18 minutes in. I am wondering if this is due to my running style?…
-
Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to try slowing down! I tried running this morning at 4.9mph and made it 9 minutes!!! Not a huge accomplishment, but enough to keep me motivated. I didn't actually finish the whole run because of pain in my calves and ankles, but I finished on the stationary bike. Next run on Sunday I am…

FYI: flavored vodkas are full of SUGAR

I am 28, and I enjoy my drinks! I try to keep it within my calorie goal by eating super low cal foods all day, but sometimes I fail miserably! Esp. when we have bbq's!! I mix sparkling flavored water with my wine, aka Spritzer, and try drinking the hard liquor straight if I can. I like the idea alot of people gave about…

I also use zen labs couch 2 5k and listen to Pandora. I tried to run this morning, but my calves are way too sore yet, so I used the stationary bike instead. I will really try a lower speed next run, but I felt comfortable with my stride at 5.2mph. Maybe going from 5.2 to 5 will be just what I need. I know that something…
-
Thanks!! Tomorrow I will try to run around 5mph and see if it helps me stretch the run out a little longer. I don't want to go below 4.8mph though. If I can increase my run times by 30 seconds at a time, I'd be happy!! The C2 5K program frustrates me when it jumps from 3-5 min then 5-8 min, then to 10 or 20 minutes of…

I am stuck! I made it to W5, D3 and could not and can not jog for 20 minutes straight. I can do week 6, with the intervals. The longest I can run so far is 8 minutes without walking. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help me get past this point? I am thinking it is mostly mental. I walk at 3.5 and jog at 5.2. HELP!!!!…

I have made a VERY similar version and it is rich and delicious!! Make sure you plan on having people around to share with would be my advice to those making this !!!!

you can definitely see results, and knowing you haven't done the program daily shows you don't have to
-
You look great!! Definitely an inspiration to me!!

thanks!

You all are so right! I know I need to be patient and focus on my health, not my weight. I also do feel good about having more strength and endurance. My clothes still fit the same, however, which bums me out. I am mostly scared of gaining or giving in and having that Arby's burger I've been craving. You know, the King's…
