Citation needed on the difference in impact on neurochemistry between viewing porn and fantasizing.

Some time before my mother brought me home from the hospital. . . Oh. You probably meant something about gaining weight in excess of personal ideals for height and activity level. Carry on.

I do not understand what you mean by a "cheat food" or a "cheat meal." If the food fits within your macros and daily calorie allowance, why is it cheating? If the meal doesn't take you over budget, how is it a cheat meal; if it does take you over your budget, then why is it a "cheat meal" and not a "cheat day"?

So, what help regarding diet and weight loss were you seeking with this question? Or. . . .

Love to see the studies to support your broad, sweeping generalizations about "all guys" and "most guys," not to mention the dismissal of folks on a committed relationship who watch porn without it negatively impacting their relationships.

My first visit to see the nurse, after having watched porn:

So. . . I checked your diary, having read your post. Please eat more. Thanks.

That part sounds like the problem.

Caffeine does not make me lie awake in bed at night; depriving me of caffeine is bad for other people's sleep patterns. . . . From my cold, dead hands.

What if the person watches only a type of porn that you physically cannot be, like the aforementioned same-sex oriented women in this thread who prefer to watch heterosexual porn but have no interest in pursuing an intimate heterosexual relationship?

Folks often gain weight in college, traditionally, because their eating habits become less structured by what the family is eating and because many meal plans allow for 2nds, 3rds, 7ths, of whatever they're serving at the cafeteria. Basal Metabolic Rate: the caloric baseline your body needs in order to maintain functions. TDEE: Total Daily Energy Expenditure/ caloric expenditure after activity (whether 'deliberate exercise' or the activity of life, like walking around the workplace).

It seems to me that being concerned that your SO is watching porn is basically 'being concerned that your SO self-serves.' Given the oft-repeated line that 95% of people do that, with 5% of people being liars, this concern seems silly to me.

Does the fact that smoked salmon does not occur in nature indicate that we should also avoid it on those grounds? Does distilled, bottled water also give pause for thought? If yes, why? If not, what makes them distinct from aspartame?

A good ribbing, apparently.

We can leave the seat up all the time, or leave it down all the time. Choose wisely.

I missed bingo? Dagnabbit. :grumble:

Seeking scientific evidence, rather than anecdotal, is primarily my point. I didn't say there was anything WRONG with drinking a gallon of water; I asked whether you were including other liquids, and whether you felt it was NEEDED.
-
1. Hunger and thirst are separate processes, so I'm not sure how quenching thirst would regulate hunger. 2. Is there a particular reason you feel the need to drink a gallon of water a day, and do you count other beverages within that total?

So, no bread? Why?

For anyone who drinks caffeinated beverages with any regularity (and doesn't have another underlying medical issue), the diuretic impact compared to a caffeine-free liquid consumption level is functionally nil.

Sugar's just a carbohydrate, barring specific medical issues. It's a popular target for fear-mongering at the moment, but it's not bad on its own.
