  • It might not work for you as a weight loss program but then again it might. Maybe stick with it for a bit longer and find out. Good luck!
  • Tough to do when you're trying your hardest to be the most supportive person on the forums. I don't have that title and never will but just as the odds are against me keeping the weight off, it won't stop me from trying.
  • They are delicious. I like to nuke them in the microwave for 5-10 seconds. Good luck with your logging and moderation goals! I hope they work for you!
  • It's not my place to judge the ethics of a company. I don't even I know what the product is. But the mental aspect is a big one. If it's not dangerous, it remains on the table. It might not be the best choice but I'm not going to poopoo people potential tools. If the OP asked what worked for me, I'd say eating at a deficit…
  • I hope you find what works best for you and not what others will push you into trying! Good luck!
  • At worst she sees us as completely unhelpful and could potentially see us as making fun of her. That could lead to a depressed mental state and giving up on her goals. But I'm continuing to commit this potential crime (I hope you're not too discouraged by our unhelpfulness, OP) but I'll stop being a hypocrit and let the…
  • I stand corrected! Excellent. If I attached feelings to my food intake, I would feel better about that desert bar I ate last night. I don't but we're all different and someone like me can!
  • Aww, I was hoping there was some good advice for her as I have none with this book but come in to see an instant derailment. Good luck, OP! I hope someone useful comes in here to help you out unlike myself and the first guy. Don't get discouraged, there are some great people on here who would love to help you. I hope you…
  • No but good luck!

  • I have and continue to lose weight. We're all different and while some can eat it with no ill effects, others might experience something different. Though I'm not sure if that was your concern or not. It was a bit vague but we have different posting style too and that okay. Well, in terms of MFP, that's not actually the…
  • If low fat is working for you (we're all different and I doubt you're eating so little fat as to negatively impact hormone imbalance)** then the Gatorade protein shakes look like they're lower in fat than some other brands out there. Good luck! **though good to keep in mind
  • The mental aspect of making this change could be considered a jumpstart of sorts. It won't likely be a physical jump start to weight loss. We're all different and how we perceive our efforts can be just as important as how we physically go about them.

  • Let's not derail this nice person's thread. I've seen other people ask this to not happen to their threads in the past and it seems like the courteous thing to do.
  • I love eggs. When I'm lifting, I'll toss in a couple extra egg whites into my normal breakfast of scrawled eggs. Taste remains good while upping the protein without too many extra calories. Good luck!
  • While 160 isn't typically noted as low carb, it might work for some. Let us know and good luck!
  • It seems to support that we're all different and all gain weight for different reason from different food. But I guess the ONE way we're the same is that if we eat more energy than our body uses, we'll gain weight over time (barring certain rare metabolic disorders).
  • They're both glucose and both will be used by the body metabolically in the exact same way. The only difference is that the fruit has other nutritional value as baggage, the spoon on sugar comes with no baggage.
  • Could be a lot of things, water retention, full bowels etc but it could also be related to factors that have nothing to do with the meal you ate. Either way, good luck toward achieving your goals!
  • We're all different! I wouldn't use them because I'm cheap and don't like to spend my money on snake oil but the mental aspect of losing weight is a big one. It might be useful for some people to think they are useful. The plecebo effect is well documented and I could point you to many reputable and verifiable studies if…
  • Well, calories are the energy your body uses for everything. If it's using all the energy you're putting into it and also some of your stored body tissues for energy the. It's entirely normal for you to feel the lack of energy. Your body will take care of vital functions first and unfortunately, your sense of energy is t…
  • Very introspective! Keep up the good work!
  • Everyone is different. Find out which method works for you and then let's us know so that others who are similar to you can use you as an example. I eat mine back but I'm not you. Good luck!
  • It's only an imperfect prediction. Don't sweat it. Our measuring and logging isn't perfect either. Just keep up the good work!
  • The mental aspect of weight loss can be as if not more important than the physical aspect.
  • Oh, I wouldn't do it. But for some, the very act of payig for the weight loss aid might be the mental push required to stay with it. After all, physically losing weight is about CICO but the mental part is more complicated. It wouldn't work for you and I but that's not to say it won't work for someone else. Removing a…
  • Well, we're all different and the way our minds and bodies process information and food differs from person to person. Sounds like you have a good handle an what works well for you. I hope over people that react the way you do to pasta (getting excessively hungry) can you your example as one possible way of dealing with…
  • Excellent information! Can we get this stickied!?! I weight myslef most days, except the days I dont. I really need to get back into lifting because while the number keeps dropping , I can tell that I'm flabbier (softer, less toned, whatever term is currently inoffensive) that I was the last time I dropped to 150…
  • I hope your bracial artery never occludes but this could very well be your issue. I think a doctor would be a great resource for this question but you might find some very knowledgable people on this forum that might support your theory. Either way, let us know if you find out anything from a source outside of these…
  • I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Support is an important part of losing weight (or so many studies seem to say). Keep up with seeking support and you'll increase your chances at success by a large amount!_ Good luck!
  • Noob gains are common with the right diet and exercise program. It's unlikely that you'll gain muscle at a deficit after that but everyone's different (as you've pointed out with yourself having higher than average testosterone levels for a woman). Why not give a program a shot and let us know if you were able to gain…
