  • the body needs simple carbs after a workout. If you want protein for your workout, eat it before. You should get a 4 to 1 ratios of carbs to protein post workout. simple carbs are best, not complex..it helps spreed muscle repair and reduces soreness. This is a scientifically proven fact.
  • I actually wrote a blog post about something like this not too long ago lol check it out.. I had even refernced the "Cookie Diet" too! http://ow.ly/6tqIe
  • I would say that maybe you're not eating at regular enough intervals and you probably need to change your nutrient breakdown. Set your goals to 40/40/20 for Carbs/Protein/Fats. Then monitor how your %'s are throughout the day, hydrate and make sure you get some exercise outside of work. That's a start, try it for a week…
  • In my experience, the best way to gauge the intensity and burn is with a heart rate monitor. That way I know how hard I'm working by how fast my heart is beating. There were times before getting one where I thought I was working hard, but it turned out I wasn't going as hard as I could. Now I know when I'm at the max, and…
  • with my daily fitness routine and healthy eating I was able to kick my depression meds to the curb almost a year & a half ago. No need for them anymore. amazing how my daily dose of endorphins works as a mood regulator
  • what/how much are you eating. You are exercising alot and your body may feel it's in starvation mode. so you can actually not lose any weight since it'll hold on to anything you do eat. Have you noticed any changes in measurements? the scale is only PART of the story. Most cases, it's the worst indication of what's going…
  • what are your fitness/health goals and what's your budget?
  • If you're looking to build muscle you'll need 1.5-2g of protein per lean body weight( total weight - fat weight). 1g is good for maintaining while losing fat. Unless you're grossly overweight. In which case the actual breakdowns aren't quite as inportant until you get closer to your ideal weight.
  • 40/40/20 is great if you can maintain it. Those %'s are VERY hard to attain. I use a 50% carbs 25% protein/fat combo and it helps keep my energy levels high and helps to maintain the needs of my body/fitness program. It's not just about the %'s tho. It's about what you eat and when you eat it. Fats are necessarily bad, if…
  • If I ever start to feel dizzy during a workout it's usually because I didn't eat enough during the day BEFORE the workout. Insanity is very intense and you need to make sure your body is fueled for the workouts. Yesterday I got a lil light headed during my Insanity workout because I hadn't eaten enough. So I back off a lil…
  • Friday mornings after i get up and do my normal bathroom routine.
  • Let me know if you have any questions :-)
  • I work out 6 days per week. Take one rest day. It's important to get at LEAST 1 rest day. but consistent exercise will get you to where you want to be. whether its 3,4,5 or 6 days/week. make a plan and stick to it! personally I like working out 6 days a week, gives me a great energy boost and makes me feel good. :-)
  • I think our goal weights are the same! Shooting for a LEAN 200lbs here. 6 packs and all!! lol
  • I did P90X for 6 months straight. In the living room. I don't like gyms...
  • I try to avoid the treadmill at all costs lol..I'd rather do insanity than the treadmill :-o
  • eat 3 meals spaced evenly throughout the day and breaking those up with a snack twice a day. you may want to look at what kind of calories you are eating. some things(even when we think they are healthy) don't stick with us. try getting a protein source at EVERY feeding, whether a snack or meal. make sure you get your…
  • what workouts are you using?
  • Celery is a great item for the "crunch" and 3 medium stalks are about 35 calories. Plus, after the body finishes digesting them the net calories are negative. They take more calories to digest than are in them...that's ALWAYS a good thing! plus you could add some natural peanut butter or hummus to them for some extra…
