  • My halo slips off most days too :)
  • Add me as a friend too if you like, your little girl is gorgeous and I'm sure her daddy is watching her everyday. Good luck on your mission.
  • I would deffinately go and see your doctor, but not just about your period, I would seriously talk to him about your mum and the influence she is having over you regarding your weight. I understand that being a dancer entails being tall and slim etc. but it should not cost you your heatlh and if it does, something is…
  • I never did the cabbage soup diet as the "cabbage soup diet" but did make the soup to snack on during the day while eating 3 meals a day. I found this was perfect for me as it was filling, tasty and warming in this cold weather. Don't think I would have managed to survive on nothing else though, even for a week.
  • Hi Take it in small chunks and set yourself small goals, that way it won't feel so daunting. I find just taking 10lb at a time is working for me. Good luck and if you would like to add me as a friend, feel free.
  • I'll have my 8 glasses with a bottle of whiskey then please :) No ice!
  • With you on that one - if only there were a magic pill or potion I wouldn't need to be on MFP. You got to do it the hard way and change your eating habits I'm affraid. good luck
  • Im type 2 diabetic and have to watch my sugar intake, take a look at my food diarys it may give you some ideas on foods that are low in the sugar department. good luck
  • Hi ya, add me as a friend if you would like to, where you from?
  • At least when we congratulate someone at least we mean it. Hiya count me in as a friend if you like, I'm in the Midlands -- Warwickshire norh side.
  • Yippee, great going everyone, realy pleased that at leat some of us are tooting, we need more toots from some more peeps so come on put some effort in to getting moving and look forward to great results on the scales. Well done everyone who's tooted already.
  • Yes, whats your problem, changing the sheets is housecleaning, thats the only activity going on in mine at the moment, and it burns more calories lol.
  • Hi, get rid of the scales (give them to a relative or something) and go to either your practice nurse once a week to get weighed or pop into Boots, its only about 20p or something stupid to use the scales in there. This way you will have something to look forward to each week without the downers inbetween - hopefully. Good…
  • Hi, welcome to MFP. You will get loads of support here and I'm sure those pounds will melt away fast. Good luck.
  • Hi, Sorry, but I don't think that sort of thing is usefull in the long run. Loosing the weight has to be a learing curve of how to eat and live a healthier lifestyle, and the only way that is going to happen is to eat real food in a sensible way. Personaly I would stay away from them and adjust your diet to include lots of…
  • Hi, I'm type 2 but only a hair strand away from insulin. I have been told to cut my sugar grams down to what MFP recommended and also the fat grams. Has your nurse given you any suggestions as to what your intake should be? Good luck.
  • LOL, I see where you are coming from on this BUT (and there's always I but, I know) I am of the opinion that things you do everyday, and have done for years, like housework, gardening and walking the dog etc, don't count towards excersise. I feel that the only excersise that should count is excersise that is done over and…
  • Here's my suggestions: Butternut squash Sweet potato Rye bread with pumkin seeds Chilies Ginger passion fruit Spinach leaves 2% Greek yogurt. All veg and fruit as basics Canned baked beans Canned chopped tomatoes Chicken Extra lean minced beef Fish Low fat sausages Pork Semi skimmed milk Flora extra light Wholegrain rice…
  • From what I understand 1200 calories is fine for about 2 weeks to kick start weight loss but in order to keep your metabolism working at its most efficient you should increase it to around 1500cals and include some exercise.
  • I think(wouldn't put my life on it) that there are 100mg in a gram to just move the decimal point 2 places to the left.
  • Oh so true hun, I'm surprised it's been kept secret for so long.
  • Sorry, should have been a bit more clear, its on the home page where it says whats on your mind - if I type something in there and then share it all just disappears.
  • Sincerity, kindness, honesty and a fabulous sense of humour, with own teeth!
  • Do you find that you can manage to keep to 20 - 25 quite easily or do you realy have to plan out the days food carefully to make sure your within your target? Thank you for taking the time to reply, it's appreciated.
  • Thank you, I'm type 2 but am a hair away from being on insulin which I don't want to go on if possible. On 3 different tablets at the moment but they don't seem to be controling it :( I have found pears don't have any sugar in so eating them now instead of satsumas and apples, couldn't believe how much sugar they had in.
  • Like it. :)
  • Congratulations hope you have a wonderful pregnency. Regards how many calories etc. your doctor would be the best person to advise on that. I would say just eat healthy food with healthy portions and you won't go far wrong. Just avoid rubbish foods. Good luck.
  • Loosing weight is all about learning to eat properly, the only way you are going to do that is to stick to a proper way of eating and not rely on fads that come and go. The weigh didn't go on over night and it certainly isn't going to come off over night, with or without pills and potions but at least learn from past…
  • I feel for you in so much as someone has gone against your wishes with you child. but have to say I think deprovation is maybe not the right way regarding sweet treats. Everything in moderation as they say, you maybe in for a shock when your child goes to school and mixes with other children who have sweets and biscuits…
  • I would take it over the week, as long as your on target at the end of the week with overall calories and excersise, all should be well. On the other hand if you weigh in tomorrow for example, you may get a blip on the scales.
