  • Hi, Don't know about the pear shape but I can relate to the going up and down lbs, that why I think you have done the right thing joining MFP as it will help to keep you focused and you will learn so much, as well as having fun. Good luck to you, and congratulations on your loss so far.
  • Sounds like a recipe for success, hope it goes well for you.
  • Fabulous motivator, good luck to you and your hubby.
  • This happened to me once, I just said I'm glad he thought I was still young enough to have children - that stopped him dead in his tracks but he did appologise next time I saw him - maybe he just thought he should be kind to "old people" lol. My advice - take no notice of people like this, they are not worth spending time…

  • How about a nice fruit salad toped with 0% Greek yogurt and acouple of rye crisp breads.
  • My doctor told me that any fluid counts towards your total intake, including things like home made soup. As long as its liquid, it counts -(except milk which is a food) thats not to say that some liquids aren't better for you.
  • I'm the same and its really noticeable how much it slows down. In your case, don't be disheartened, you haven't got much to loose unlike me, so where as I may find shedding 2lb a week at the moment quite easy, by the time I get much nearer my target, its going to slow down to maybe 1lb a month, but you just have to have…
  • Thanks for the responses peeps, some good tips amongst them. I think I just feel I spend more as there are 5 of us and all eat adult portions, and as I only cook one meal (not a special one for me and something else for the rest of family) I just seem surrounded by an allotment full of fruit and veg that cost a furtune in…

  • I think its a bit of an acquired taste - it's just so different from white, I think the more you eat of it, you just get used to it and accept it.
  • Hope this helps Breast,fillets skinless and boneless, 100g raw = 126 cals 25.1g prot 1.2g carb 2.3g fat and 0.2g fibre
  • I think it is better for you due to being less refined than white, plus you will probebly find it keeps you feeling fuller for longer.

  • I suppose I am being a bit dim here but couldn't you just ask for smaller portions when you order?
  • HI I'm diabetic and it could well be this, Go to your doctor and get a test done, don't let it slip as diabeeties can be very dangerous to sight and you could end up loosing toes and feet. Please take it seriously.

  • Might sound strange but sometimes going out for a slap up meal can shock your system into motion again. Just hang in there and be patient.
  • Count me in please and anyone, please feel free to add me as a friend, I need all the support I can get and would love to help motivate and encourage others along their journey. Good luck to you all.
  • I did Slimming World for a while and they brought a new way of eating called Extra Easy, all fruit and veg were free, pulses, meat and fish. Mainly processed foods had to be counted and you were allowed a healthy dairy and a healthy fibre intake per day. Having looked at a recent WW magazine, the new way of eating seems…
  • I took up cross stich to keep me busy at the weekends, its amazing how the hours can fly by doing it and food just doesn't get a thought.
  • Do you own a slow cooker? They are brilliant for cooking dluring the day when you are not at home, but when you come in through the door, Oooooooooooooooh the smell is wonderfull - diner done - no hard work to do just eat and enjoy, leaving time for you to do what ever you want. Hope this helps.

  • I don't think it would be too complicated to opperate a system, Maybe a sticky for clothes would be needed, then just post what you have to get rid of with maybe a photo and breif description with size colour etc. If anyone wants the goods they could message you with private details for delivery etc and the receiver could…
  • Hi, I have just started a thread that maybe the answer to the problem of no clothes that fit, have a look and see what you think. Thread is of course no clothes that fit lol.
