It depends on how big or small you are. When you are bigger, you could gain or lose a larger amount without someone noticing. However, if you are small, sometimes people can notice when it's as little as 5-7 pounds

They are high. Sometimes unbelievably so. I have found that if I exercise, say, for 40 minutes, I only log 20 of those. If you log half the amount of time, the number is usually closer to accurate. Try to do this especially if you plan on eating back calories. I don't eat back mine because I don't trust the numbers.

I have found that I can't go back to eating the way I did before. My stomach physically hurts if I do!

When you do eat, choose healthy but more calorie dense foods. Whole wheat pastas, cheeses, avocados, mangoes and bananas are all higher in calories while still providing a good mixture of healthy fats, nutrients, etc.

Along a similar vein, Goldfish crackers! I can sit and eat a whole box of those darn things. I remove crackers completely from my pantry.

First of all, don't worry too much about starvation mode, as there have been a lot of studies done that show that their isn't really such a thing.
